Little known fact: the makeup artist couldn't make it and they recruited the intern from the mortuary 2 blocks away. Google it, crazy story!

I directed this for Channel V. I remember the feedback from the head of production was she didn't like the lighting - but I love it now! Great memory and thanks for posting.

this could have been classic footage of the Spencer Davis Group in their prime, but instead here they are miming (badly) dressed in their pyjamas. The Ghost Goes Gear is a very strange film

I'm so glad someone had the foresight to get this on film. I'm completely blown away by this performance.

They must have remixed the song for the film. The drums are much louder on the album mix: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH2ak4mcpZeboLc

I love how they switch the falsetto around. First Linnel sings it on the second verse. Then Flansburgh takes it over from the bridge onward.

I cant take this interview seriously with A. They mixed up their names,, but B. how there is music playing WHILE the johns & others are talking 😭😭 like when they are talking about people pirating songs and there's just rock music in the back,,,

@bouillonbeefcube When i finally saw Elvis & the Attractions (the tightest band ,besides James Brown's revue)it was on Imperial Bedroom tour in early 82 at the late great Houston Music Hall Brought my own refreshments (a cold bottle of Sohnlein Brilliant, tucked into my trousers / under my sports jacket .Pretty sure didn't fool anyone really lol..He had no opening act .And was now, very professional,no ragged edges-except the rusty switchblade of his lyrics. Right out of the gate , no between song banter with the crowd. And they, played ,EVERYTHING !!!

Alan Myers. On drums. The Most Underestimated Drummer in the History of Underestimated Drummers. The Creator of Modern Drumming. His drum parts, creative approach and technical abilities are perfectly integrated into the music; so much so that his Genius is mostly undetected. Most people do *not* understand how Great he truly is. Truth. R.I.P.

Was this band ever a bit crap or were they born consistently fab? Also, gig in Germany, let's do those songs about Hitler and night rallies.
