I think you have to pull the piece on the yarn winder out a bit. It will be hard, but you will notice it moving. Just keep pulling until you feel resistance, then it should stay up. I'll keep watching now :)

No bc I’m a crocheter and it took me no joke 3 years to learn how to knit 😭 finally one day it clicked. When I see ppl able to do it for the first time so well I’m like howwww lol I love it. I also only learned on circulars which was prob a blessing & a curse lol

I only have circular needles, so it was so intimidating learning how to knit with them😭😭I abandoned 8 rows of a knitted hat a few months ago

amazing video! as an initial crocheter now as well knitter, the best form of learning to knit is called 'continental knitting' is waaaay easier to grasp knitting that way since you're already a crocheter. best of luck! xx
