in an interview I saw back in the 70s, Mike was asked who Joanne was in his song named... Joanne. He answered, whether joking, or whatever, that she was a cow I was watching, explained by the opening line, Her name was Joanne and she lived in a meadow, by a pond'. Either way it blew my mind. I howled! Beautiful song, like Silver Moon & most he wrote.

Don Cole! So here’s a funny story for you. I was sharing a story about how album covers can be misleading and used this song and cover as an example. I’ve been playing in a Motley Crüe tribute for a few years now and heard a little influence one way or the other between the bands. Then I noticed Axe had a song entitled Girls Girls Girls, totally different from the Crüe but same title. In many cases like Dr Feelgood(solo ending) vs Thunderstruck (main riff) I’ve found to my surprise that Mick came first, after assuming he copied others. In this case, I see the bands toured together but with Axe opening for MC and have to attribute it to the early 80s LA scene with the heavy blues rock influence in guitarists and their shared influences. Either way, when I saw your name I clicked on that one to make sure I supported you. Feel free to come out to a show and let me bring you in on the band list sometime. We are 18 years running at this point even though I’m the new guy - Mostley Crüe.
