Hate to break it to you, but we’ve been doing these for years. There are a lot of reasons why these core manufacturers have not utilized many split units and they do know what they are doing as much as I recommend self built vans. Yes mini split air conditioners on van conversions are the next wave including high capacity solar set ups due to the roof being empty. My personal van is a pro master with 1600 W of solar on the roof and a 12,000 BTU mini split off the back door with the indoor unit on my passenger wall blowing a blanket of cool air over my queen bed. I can keep my whole van freezing cold while fully sustaining my electric capacity in 120 degree Arizona heat. Overall, good work on the install. The flexible line set is a must.

This was installed years ago, do you have any documentation when yours was first installed for example something you uploaded on the Internet or posted in a forum?
@danmoore8942 күн бұрын
@@EcoNeato yes, we run a van conversion shop and I have videos of installing the first one on a Promaster with a high capacity solar setup nearly 5 years ago. We do this install for customers every month now. Promaster, transit, sprinter.
@danmoore8942 күн бұрын
@@EcoNeato what pioneer unit did you install? We use the pioneer Diamante ultra 9000 BTU and 12,000 BTU with custom electronics to make it even more efficient.

@ They are not under your youtube account, can you provide how to access the video(s)? Would like to show someone else interested to know who was before me and I'm interested too. Are both door able to be open and close on your builds many years ago?

Maybe 6 years old but this is the first video I clicked on and changed my life!! Trying to hang Christmas lights on the house, my neighbors think I’m crazy now because every time the glue stick would drop out while I was on the ladder curse words ensued. You overthink things and when I saw this, you just go OMG! Thank you.

Greetings from Australia. I have several Pro Quip brand 20 litre steel jerry cans. They are of excellent quality and Manufactured in Latvia. I would almost bet the are the same manufacturers of the Wavel company jerry cans also manufactured in Latvia for the United States of America. There are cheaper cans here on the market from China but I would prefered to spend my hard earned dollars on the Latvian made units. They are even available in red for petrol ( gasoline) and light a light khaki green for diesel if you want. The jerry can are very robust and have nice authentic recessed welds they use to join the pressed steel plate halves together. Also the cap is the jerry style press down type with replaceable Pro Quip rubber seals and not rotary types. I have had cheaper brand seals that fitted alright but not as thick as the origionals and didn't seal as well and leake 98m Petrol on my car. The jerry cans intergrated caps are also equipped with a sturdy safety pin. The pins are a bit fiddly but when you get used to them do the job. Last thing you want is for a cap to accidently open when out thebbush
@brucekellett22692 ай бұрын
Oh I forgot to mention ProQuip also manufacture dedicated metal fast fill pourer. Both fixed spout or a longer flexi type which I personally recommend. Please note the light green spout tip will not fit into the Australian unleaded car tank filler restricting device. You will need the red painted unit for unleaded cars. The red unit takes a bit longer to empty than the light green diesel type. Of course both green and red jerry cans are identical. The company also makes a nice plastic jerry can caddy or holders. I like to use one of these if I have to put my jerry can down on sharp stone gravel and on the concrete floor of my garage. Protects the bottom of the can and they will least you for tyears. One last thing if you want a Pro Quip plastic jerry can the Australia retail units are actually made in Australia. They are nice quality and a olive drab green unit for filling wth water. I hope the may helm any viewers her in Australia. Cheers A
