Is this close to the airport at St Jean Sur Richelieu, QC? I used to tow gliders at St Jean and they had a quarry just like that not far, west of the airfield. Great save, by the way!!!
@MarkB1 Жыл бұрын
You are making the brain think pretty hard and far back here! I just found the quarry on google maps. It' was just outside Ange-Gardien. So I think they are differet quarries. But it was a good trigger for sure!

hi Mark, is it still flyable there? google suggests site is closed.

Hey Mark, Any suggestions for paramotor training around Ontario? Or are there none left? Would you deem it practical to go to US for training?

You don't necessarily need to redirect, A bit of brake should have been enough to stop it over-flying/getting behind you.

Hi there, nice flying! I recently moved from Europe to Canada. Have been flying paragliders there for quite some years. Put it on hold for a few years now I'm trying to get back to flying. Did some online research but can't find many paragliding clubs in Ontario. Can you tell me a bit more about the eWinch setup? Did you build it yourself or can you buy them somewhere? Thanks!
@MarkB14 жыл бұрын
There aren't too many thermal sites , there are more ridge soaring site in ontario. The ewinch is the Miami Ewinch. It's great and the best thing I ever purchased.... aside from the paraglider itself. Try Air Vision Adventures they do some towing. There is also a whatsapp group that you can join to see when sites are flyable.

Hi Mark. Nice flying videos! I will be for some days in Florida starting next week. I am planning to take my glider, hoping for a flight. Do you have any contacts from the local tow/school operation? I tried the number on Neverland Flight Park but no one picks up.

@@MarkB1 Thanks for the info, I am considering taking up paragliding but am afraid to because of collapsing wings, I would rather hang glide, but in my area there is a paragliding school, but no hang gliding school, what would you suggest?
@Jimmy_CV4 жыл бұрын
@@МихаилВишняковский depends on what type of wing you use if it's an a rated beginner wing they tend to re inflate without to much trouble. But you should always carry a reserve.

Get immediately out of speed - don't pull brakes that hard and long - use them hard and short when the glider is in front of you - take care- have fun

Hi Mark, would you have a video of your winch and the various components? We are interested in getting one but there are not too many videos of the rig itself out there. They all show the pilots but not the system, how to install it, etc... Which model did you get - how many batteries are you using? Thank you
