Yeah most don’t know house cats are indeed African wild cats. They are 100% genetically no different than our house cats. 10k yrs ago they came into human camps like this one did. Attracted to rats and mice that human grain harvests were attracting. Humans were like awesome pest control. African wild cats were like awesome lots of easy prey. And bonus these human creatures keep our predators at bay. The more friendly ones like this one here domesticated themselves and became your tabby named fluffy. They can be quite friendly seeing as they are indeed 100% wild cats and live and hunt and survive like a predator and wild animal. But not usually this friendly so fast. This is a particularly friendly fella. And the exact type that thousands of years ago liked humans so much they allowed themselves to be pets. Now there are others the European wild cat that’s the same cat but thicker coat for winters. They are not nice. Maybe the very rare individual here and there but vastly a very shy territorial cat that really doesn’t much like humans. Even rescued European wild cats that look indispensable from house cats … grow up and when reaching adulthood get a more cancerous streak. And can become dangerous and unpredictable. The nicest of all wild cat species is the African short haired wild cat. Also another wild cat that has a history of friendliness to humans… Cheetahs. Yep. They are curious can show affection and 99.9% of the time not interested in getting aggressive with humans. They pick their battles very carefully as they conserve their energy for hunting and don’t pick fights it’s a waste of precious energy. Cheetahs also have lightweight bones and body structures. Not meant for fighting or taking a beating but for pure speed for hunting prey. Outside of hunting for pure survival they are lovers not fighters.

To those who think the laughing was rude and that the baby was in danger, I disagree. For one, the baby was really enjoying the water, probably for the first time in its life. It's body weighed less in the water which made it all the more fun. The momma had gone this route when she was a baby and knew that her little one needed to experience this too as well as slipping and sliding to help with its balance and to strengthen its muscles. And she wasn't letting her baby be in danger because we can see how she protected it from the hippos. We could also see her giving her baby her leg to stablize it and to help it move to dry land.

Elephants express distress when a dead elephant is near, which is clearly evident in this film.

The child is afraid of going into the water. The group surrounds the baby towards the water and forces it into the water so that it can swim, so the mother moves it first into shallow water and then into deeper water. The mother swims with the baby until the baby learns to swim well. Also teaches to face dangers like hippo. Great Mother!

I can't believe those hippo's didn't snap him in half. They have a very short fuse.
