I'm told that the orange flowered trees are called "flamboyant trees" which is a very apt name if correct, but my informant could be wrong! I like to watch the ferries and cruise ships coming and going in the port when the webcam is working. I know, sad person.

Do you know that 'Los Roques' means 'The Rooks/Castles' (as in the chess pieces)? Hence the name given to las dos rocas. I'm coming through in 8 days. Yay!

We were going to go down that path on our last visit, but the sign said not to because of falling rocks. We might just venture on our next visit. We love off the beaten track places. We don't do beach or pool bathing because we find it boring when there's so much to explore 😊

It is a great place to see, but that awful path again, parts of it look like you should be wearing a hard hat the overhanging rocks are so close and that hotel still looks like it's about to collapse into the sea!

I've liked every comment that says they prefer Puerto DLC. So I'm biased because I have only visited PDLC & coming again in Nov. As a retired single lady- I felt very safe in Puerto alone, got to know the local areas quickly, thanks to your videos. If you have any wits about you, avoid being dragged in by the blanket/shopping trolley street traders. Martianez was full of those- I found enough places to enjoy away from the commercialism. So its the North for me , South seems a bit busy & more young family orientated X

Lucky you had a couple of coconut halves with you to conjure up the sensation of real horses running! If you're ever being chased by a police dog, don't crawl though a pipe, run along a narrow plank, or jump through a hoop - cos they train for that (here!)

It is a shame how they spoilt the South Coast with horrible soulless hotelbuildings, only touristy. But near to Playa de las Americas are a few nice authentic villages with not so many tourists like La Caleta and the surfer hotspot El Medano. Have a nice evening🙂

Lovely video! Bar Alberto is a real hidden gem and the view from the garden of the hotel Tigaiga is amazing; in this hotel garden I saw two parrots sitting on a tree!!!!! I just walked in because I heard the garden is so beautifully arranged - that´s true.

We used to holiday in Los Cristianos & Las Americas seems a lot quiter nowadays. After our holiday earlier this year we prefer PDLC .

Rode there on electric hire bikes rented in Puerto de la Cruz.Fantastic ride and views.

stayed at Coral teide Mar in May, loved the area and the view from the mirador is spectacular
