Just picked up a book called "six wicked reasons". I'm only on the 25th page and it will go in the recycling bin. Reason? I find it totally inappropriate and bothersome that the author uses what I call "foul language". It is not necessary to curse, swear, what ever you name it in a novel.

As someone who has patronised from easons my whole life, that ends now. I will never spend another penny in there ever again. How they think people want ryan " the dug up corpse" in any fashion after he showed his true duplicitous momey grubbing manner is beyond me.

Bill Bryson is a funnel of knowledge. Great introductions to important subjects in a fun and accessible way. His range and delivery make him one of my top authors in my library.

Such a lovely book. I'm highlighting, rather than copying my favorite bits. And almost every page has an underline or highlight. I was gifted this book and it is my first Niall Williams book. If the rest of them are anything like this one, I am going to busy for the next year.

I'm reading this book presently, and I'm finding it insightful and amazing, so far. I do imagine that I will continue to be moved by David's story, as I was during his documentary, " Psychosis and Me."

Turned out to be an interesting book by standing in the shoes of the author. I was disappointed to not see any of the beautiful nightlife I thought would be portrayed. A very dark read

This is a very entertaining and insightful book! I'm in awe of the stamina and resilience of people who work in hospitals. I'm definitely interested in reading any future books by Colin Black. But know that if swearing upsets you, this isn't the book for you.

To your first blog, I thought it was a miracle book, then I remembered I heard about this one, mostly slapstick dumb jokes Juno is the story about two teens labeled as delinquents. Juno & Sean nicknamed legs-do you suppose someone has a laughing hidden agenda? grow up on the same housing estate where spirited, intelligent is ostracized. Did you think you could get away with it under their noses? And, why did you locate in that town for dumb? Try God.

Just finished Elinore Oliphant. I'm astonished that this book parallels my life in unfortunate ways. My life was not nearly as traumatic as hers, thank god, but the lack of emotional feelings from my mother and her family, left a space in my life that I've never been able to fill. I frequently think, if there was ONE person that cared enough and was kind to me, I might be able to start a healing process. Unfortunately, even with current family members, I still don't have anyone. I feel like Elinore did after the botched concert episode.

I stumbled upon his work and now have a new favourite author. I suppose he and his characters share the same sentiment - aversion to retirement from their writing. I hope he never quits ♥

I loved both books (Girl with All the Gifts & The Boy on the Bridge) and re-read them out of synch 2nd time around. Michael explains the evolution of the story which makes sense of why the movie was focused on Melanie's perspective. TBH I preferred the book (s) but bought the dvd anyway 😁

This book is along winded padded out load of nonsense. The story could have told in a third or even a quarter of the ridiculous length it took. I wonder who leaked RB was actually JKR?
