Can someone answer or confirm a basic question? Do the federal rules of civil procedure apply in local and state courts? Or do state courts have their own rules? Specifically I'm in NY and we have the CPLR. Does that supersede or work in concert with the federal rules? Also, might there be a citation to support the answer?
