The j mascis pickups are for slamming into fuzz and act like a treble booster.

I’d sub but all those amps are NOT available to the working class lmao this whole video is a joke, God bless, only love but I have laughed so hard. I’m living in a meme, I swear. Working class.. looks like it.

Now that I actually own the pedal in no small part thanks to this video, I can confirm that this is the greatest demo, not in the traditional sense of showing everything it's capable of in an accessible way, but because it shows the pedal causing the two of ye to dissociate while noodling on it like the pedal is making you high with sheer vibes, which is 100% the best representation of the energy of the pedal. I ended up scoring it for like 45 quid in a Thomann blow out. Thanks for the rec guys <3

I hate dredging up an old video with a comment but didn't the new strings change/influence the sound quite a lot? Seems that it would. The other thought that I had was I wonder if Cu-Ni-Fe pole piece magnets are available individually and in a size that would fit in the reissued pick-ups? That would be an interesting path to investigate.

I almost pulled the trigger on a reissue strat. I went with the starcaster instead. I'm glad I did. It's more unique and comfortable! Plus the neck is AMAZING and I'm not even a gloss fan haha.

That’s awesome, the Starcaster is a great choice!

I like the sound of the new bridge and old new pickups. I'd buy old and switch the bridge out.

This thing looks dope! I have to try one. I do more clean guitar sounds and acoustic. This could be cool be great for an open mic where I want to switch up tones for different songs. Love it! Great review as always.
@Eric-nn9xf15 күн бұрын
The Custom just has mojo to the tone that the Studio does not have. If you put the Custom pickups into the Studio, i'd be surprised to hear an A/B comparison of that. Custom vs the Studio with the Custom pickups in each guitar. That would really debunk whether or not it has more to do with the pickups or not. Personally I think the age of the wood has a lot to do with it as well. Anyway, just a suggestion but it would be a cool video. You'd probably piss some people off at Gibson lol.

I just sold my Nord Electro 2 today at $600 (bought secondhand at $1,000 ten years ago) to buy this little fella. Am I being completely reckless and unconsiderate and just plain ignorant and noob? I'm more of a composer than a pianist BTW. Those final thoughts about the Nord are lowkey healing hehehehehe

definitely a purpose built instrument. Not sure the tonemaster and the speaker is up to presenting the extended range, sounds like it's flapping out and gets mushy. I'm also a metalhead, but being the oldest guy in the room at all times, don't look it. I can wear Old Man Gloom t shirts with some irony implied, so there's that

Bad@zz Ibanez! 👀 Thinking about a 7 for years, & fanned frets take it up a notch. How loud was that setup into the Bose S1 Pro speaker? Sounded loud & gnarly, even with your various playing styles. I-interesting! 🤔 Subbed!

Guys I don’t believe you have ever reviewed a G&L guitar, maybe some time in the future? It was Leo Fender’s last company and many guitars look and feel the same but have major improvements like PTB, saddle lock, MFD pickups, dual fulcrum vibrato, etc. they have both an American made line and Indonesian-made with American made pickups. The QA of Indonesian-made Tribute series is over the top. Punching way above its quite modest price range. And all those little details and improvements over traditional Fenders will make any guitar nerd excited

I got a Dean 7 string back in the mid 90s and played it for 10 years or so, but never learned anything specifically for 7 string since there just weren't a lot of people using them. I just extended my chords into the lower registers with it. I was doing a lot of tapping stuff back then too. Actually cut one of the horns off the guitar to give better access to the upper bout with my right hand. My roommate's look when I took the saw to it was priceless. Got rid of it because the bridge was no radius at all and the neck was not a super flat radius so the string height was all jacked up as you went down the neck. Also the pickups were kinda crap and there were no reasonable replacements to be had. Have thought about getting a more recent 7 though since they are popular and have aftermarket parts available.

I've been thinking about a seven string lately. Not for heaviness or the low low stuff, which I think doesn't sound great imo. But because I have been messing around with Covet/Midwest emo tuning FACGCE and...F ain't low enough sometimes. An extra low string might assuage that.

To answer your question: my favourite guitar is my only guitar - an unbranded miniature I got at a thrift store for 100 bucks and is constantly out of tune. As brought me back to /my/ days assembling/ disassembling office furniture.
