its 2024, i have been looking for a tutorial for custom form submission in wordpress. Everyone was writing the form directly in that a page which i did not understand well. But this approach of developing a plugin is really really helpful. Thanks man. it helped me a lot.

That is awesome. It really assists beginners on WordPress to understand how effectively query data from the database. However, how would the user navigate to the result of the query page on the browser without manually entering the url? I love the method of teaching. Clear, concise and visual are visible.

Hi Joshua, I am not a developer. I want to make a custom block based on existing gutenberg blocks. How can I use the code of existing blocks (available on github) and make some minor changes and turn it into an installable block? Or can i just duplicate the folder structure on my WP installaton and change relevant function names etc and will it work?

Hi Joshua, how can the menu be associated with a sole custom taxonomie and the submenu page of it has to link to a regular created settings page? To link with add_menu_page with my custom taxonomie runs, but the slug in add_submenu_page is added to taxonomie url like edit-tags.php?taxonomy&page=settings. Message in wordpress: Cannot load settings. This would work: admin.php?page=settings. But the submenu link would have to be overwriten. Do you have an example for it? Because I couldn't find the submenu in global $menu or any filter how would do that.

Wait! Is it necessary to insert the block again every time I want to change a single detail in the front-end? Isn't a hard refresh and save in the backend enough to update the front end? It is impracticable in the long term, especially if it is a block that needs to be reused in many places.

For the layman I would like to suggest the Antideo Email Validator plugin for WordPress that does unlimited email validation checks for free. It uses the is_email function and checks for temporary email addresses, free email addresses, syntax, role based email addresses, invalid domains and more.
