This didn't work for me controlling an old school JL 500/1 (Slash series), where the JL knob RBC-1 is called for to control the bass boost function. I did find another set of DIY instructions that provided somewhat opposite wiring than described in this video: The green/black wires go to the single pin where this vid shows the yellow/red. Let's call it pin 3, if it is the one on the far right when they are all facing up. Then the Yellow/Red wires are connected/bridged between pins 1 and 2. This worked perfectly for me and I hope my experience helps someone else.

I've tried this with my JL Audio M400/4, but it doesn't seem to be working at all. The amp just acts as if the 10k potentiometer isn't plugged in. Do you think that amp needs a potentiometer with higher than 10k?
@GreggyGTV12 күн бұрын
I wish that I could better help. I didn't pick out the spec of the potentiometer for this build so my main focus was on the wiring, etc. It should work but you could be right. I'm sure you've done this already but I would double check all of your connections.

@@GreggyGTVthanks for the quick reply. Yessir, I quadruple checked the wiring. I also tried a few variations of your wiring to see if those could work. It seems like the weather stripping around the perimeter of the door wasn't installed as tightly as it should have been. When I install molding, even pushing the door in, the flap should still be in contact with the door. I like these hinges though, very cool idea.

Very helpful video ! I’m past cutting the black casing, the lever is unlocked now, but the door is still stuck closed. Should I soak/clean the area? I’ve already tried forcing it open while some one pulls on the trunk.

Darn, I’m so sorry you are struggling with it. If the lever is unlocked, then I’m thinking your lock mechanism is seized , so yes, soak it with PB blaster or some type of rust penetrant. Keep at it, you’ll get it. I wish I could be there to help you.

Thanks for sharing! I went with a very similar set up on a Mossberg, with the Magpul receiver ring and paraclip, but looped through the SGA stock on the opposite/ejection port side instead of the QD being in my cheek and allowing the gun to flop more when in admin. I would definitely recommend trying the stock attachment on the other side, it keeps it tighter to the body when slung and out of the way when shooting. Cheers!

@@RideAlongside I also added the GG&G light and sling mount at the end of the mag tube and I love the setup. I can stow the sling bow string tight in the safe and then also move with the shotgun in admin at full speed when clipped to the end of the mag tube, and when clipped to the receiver mount and it acts like a 1 point sling. This is the perfect setup in my opinion. Not to mention the light mount itself... Paraclip at the end of mag tube/paraclip to receiver mount; and looped into the right side of the SGA butt stock. I highly recommend GG&G's accessories.

Hi, I've watched your other video for the KSP wheel spacers and didn't realized that its a Chinese made also (the same as the Bonoss). Which wheel spacers do you preferred between Bonoss and KSP? The features of Bonoss are well explained like the Active Cooling and the Test Certifications with the 10 years warranty are really solidify their competency

Good thinking! I'm looking at the Magpul slings and was wondering/worried about how the Paraclip works with standard shape swivels? Would you recommend the one you used, or use a shape closer to your reciever mount? Thanks.
@GreggyGTV3 ай бұрын
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. Also, please subscribe to the channel to help it grow. The paraclip works well with both. On my set up, the paraclip attached to the rear to the standard shape swivel, is on a quick detach button. I plan on leaving it attached to that only using the as button if necessary. For the front, I like the larger shape bc there’s more surface area and space to grab with the paraclip, does that make sense?
@B.A.Bassangler3 ай бұрын
@@GreggyGTV Yes, makes sense. Time to 💩or get off the pot for me. I'm starting out with a push-button front left and maybe a Magpul fixed ring at the reciever. Either way it should be tweakable. Thanks again for the input; just sub'd, good luck!
