Any risk of dead heading the pump due to delay of the loops opening and the pump running ?

With our newest version of the Cross Manifold our control unit only sends the signal to the boiler and pumps after a valve, or valves are in the open position. Zero chance of dead heading the pump.

Does it really work? Most radiant heating systems are attached to the subfloor, this system is designed 3" under the subfloor. Is enough heat going to be generated to go through the floor?

Will this radiat through tile, what is the potential for leaks and the cost of a boiler for around a Thousand square feet? Also advantage of the electric floor heat strips

Excellent looking system. Definitely simpler.

This seems like a better system than the other between-joists types because fastening the pex directly to the subfloor could get punctured when the flooring guys come and nail down the underlayment or hardwood flooring. Just a thought.

I have a fin system boiler in my basement. Do I just tie in the tubing to my existing boiler? Are there instructions on how to tie into an existing boiler? I just want to hear the 1st floor with this system. Should I just tie into the hot water line? So that when the 1st floor reaches the target temp, it will shut off?

Not sure of the need for the Poly! But as long as you don't get a air space between the Poly & Plywood I cant see any performance issues.

If you knew you were going to install radiant floor heating, why not pre-drill the floor joists before they were put in? for that matter, why not just invent a new joist with the pipe built in.
