I'm not sure if I know what you are referring to here? This was a historic home in Oakland that I toured (with those portraits), and not my own home. I cherish antiques as well for the love of Victorian and not for the novelty of the season. I also agree in retaining vintage for the love of it's past, but this wasn't my home and I cannot speak for the decorators in their design choices. @@FabLittleDish Quite a few people take these antique photographs, Cabinet Cards especially and glue or paint creepy things on them to look more creepy, as some think Victorian photos are creepy, so they will decorate them to look creepy and it can ruin the antique photos, wasn't so much directed towards you but toward people that do this.

I couldn't have said it better myself. It absolutely does tie everything together! I was just commenting to someone else that it actually looks like it was made for my bedroom. That's my favorite too - the Hello Kitty was a second, only because my niece loves her so much and I know she's going to freak out when I give that to her. I didn't mention that in the video because she watches and I want her to be surprised lol she's 6 and already wants to "decorate like Auntie Allie" when she grows up. Absolutely warmed my heart and soul lol. But for myself, the Hocus Pocus house is a gem and I can't wait to display it! 💕

Hi lovely!! I had a feeling someone would ask about the kitty! My boyfriend's dad is actually going through chemo and Grayson (the kitty) has been keeping him great comfort. We haven't had the heart to ask for him back yet, but he might be visiting again in a couple weeks. I need to have him over before our Europe trip! Plus, he needs to be part of the Halloween and Fall decorations that are starting to happen around here! You're so sweet for asking about him 💕

about 30 minutes from where I live there is an old coal baron town full of Victorian homes and they do tours in spring and at Christmas, so beautiful.
