I thought the 250ccs One would be much faster. Max Speed Is 180kmh ??
@YAMR1M

Japanese market 250cc bikes were limited to 45bhp and all vehicles limited to 180kmh (112mph). Now they could be unrestricted and the speed limiter bypassed if you knew what to do. Some of the Sport Production versions made to go racing if you had the race kit would have a genuine 65bhp at the rear wheel if you changed the jetting, air box and exhausts and removed the speed limiter. The Honda NSR250 MC21 RK (Race Kit) bikes were sold as road bikes with lights fitted, but not actually road legal and were very limited numbers with the chassis modified at HRC and these once set up had as much if not a little more power than the actual Honda RS250 NF5 race bikes. This one had been geared for short race tracks in Japan so it was only geared to pull about 160kmh but was quick and the chassis of these little 2 strokes was very good as many of them were close relations to the Customer GP 250cc race bikes and many parts were interchangeable. My Honda NSR250 MC18RK has quite a few Honda RS250 NF5 parts fitted to the chassis and the factory race kit and produces 67bhp at the rear wheel, even though it is missing the HRC exhaust pipes (Tyga pipes are currently fitted) and it is running a wet clutch and not the dry clutch at the moment. The NSR is VERY light and as close as I am going to get to having a proper 250cc race bike again.

I had an 89 3MA and have had dozens of bikes. Best bike I've ever rid. It wasn't the fastest of the 90's 250 strokers, but It was the best handling. Alas, like all my bikes, they got stolen. That's the reason I don't ride anymore. Robbing bastards everywhere.

Stupid low tank bag amateur dollar store tasteless weiners camera position denying us a true look at what amateur goon line you take in & out of corners & the Non existent chicane. Could have said goon camera higher in the windshield but too braindead for that.

After riding a Honda trail 90 because at 15 I was only able to legally ride 100cc .It was a dangerous law most were underpowered.I got a 200 cc.Yamaha 2-stroke at 16 and OMFG I got it to 95 MPH with a high school buddy on back. We were alot less heavy then but when I and the Yamaha shop couldn't fix it fouling plugs my father bought it and fixed it in no time.I still wonder if he did it on purpose to keep me safe.It needed a coil.

HRC F3 kit ignition, HRC kit cylinders, heard and pistons, HRC kit ECU and Tyga pipes which need to be junked for proper HRC kit one if I find them. The chassis is a full HRC built F3 spec NSR250RK bike with some Honda RS250 parts too including the RS250 Magtek wheels and brakes. Its a trick bike that needs some suspension work as it handles really badly at the moment. The previous guy didn't get the suspension set up and it needs fork springs really badly.

do you post cure this in the oven with vacuum ? never seen pre peg been used for mold making before. I am aware there are some tooling prepegs but you seem to use normal prepeg. Assuming the grey gel coat is high tempreture gel coat, then i usually back it with fiber glass or carbon cloth but this is interesting. would have nice to see the result but i am assuming may be it didnt really worked .
@YAMR1M
@YAMR1M 3 жыл бұрын
The only reason I used an epoxy gel coat was because the master was a high density foam and it gives off gasses. The foam master was sealed with an epoxy spray on coating too, but we decided to overkill the barrier between the foam and the pre-preg with the gel coat. The mould was made by single side bagging it too so no gasses could escape into the bag. It worked very well and yes the mould was post cured too.

So hott! This needs some "rev" pipes, bike doesnt want to rev smoothly over 10.5k, but at the same time its a Honda, they are known for mid range performance! Bad ass bike!
@YAMR1M

It's 100% stock but its OK up to about 11,000rpm. The bike has now been sold... BUT as soon as I can get out on a trackday, look out for a video of my F3 spec NSR250 that I have just bought. That should rev through a bit more and it has 50% more power than this one. That should be a bit of fun and give some of the big bikes a shock at the local track...
