That track surprised everyone. Never heard them looser, or better. They just keep evolving.

I'm a disney fan too. But being born in 1970, I knew of these, sorta, but never saw them. But voctave is beyond stratispherically exceptional, and this fic is so much FUN!!! I use this to get me to tap my toes (or to stay awake). LOVE your reaction!!!

You mentioned that you liked that a capella section. Just a reminder that the entire video was done a capella. There are no instruments in the entire video.

No instruments except Kevin's cello. That's all. No auto tune or reverb either.😊

Love your PTX vids, but you're sorely missing the Superfruit catalog! Especially Guy.exe, the broadway rap medleys, Imaginary Parties, and Bad 4 Us, must listen! *edit* oh and the Frozen medley with Kirstin, and the Shoshana Bean medley!

Yes honey, that was Scott. He can cover the upper register of the bass line. His range is incredible.

Kirstie - All right boys...voices and cello up, Mitch - LoOove remains - MiniMitchSlap Scott - Blue Eyed Soul Dragon Drive-by Matt - Renames song 'Falsetto from a Bass' Kevin - "Hold my bow".. "BaaaaBYY!!!!".... Note all of the members except Kevin just might have a greater connection with this song than they know....we would have to ask their parents. This was some serious baby making music in the 90s....

Joyful, joyful from the evergreen tour for sure!! Its the sister act 2 version and the high note at the very end is not Kirstie, not Mitch, not scott, not kevin but MATT!! Hope you do more ptx period bc your reactions to them are great. You truly appreciate their talent.

I'm so glad you are doing this bc Matt changed the end to his solo IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!

I'm happy that you chose this live Pentatonix version from the Evergreen tour. It's my favorite. Thank you for the great reaction to this beautiful live performance. Scott always covered bass when needed when Matt or Avi had solos.

I've just been looking through your PTX playlist, to see what you've missed. These are my recommendations: • "Run To You" (an original, written by Avi and Kevin) • "Happy Now" (another original) • "O Come All Ye Faithful" • "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" • "The Lucky Ones" (an original, written by Scott) • "The Kevin Show/Kevin's Fifth." This is a live feed from a concert they gave in Owensboro, Kentucky, Kevin's home town: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epOmkqasmLOrbZo , and this is the very special performance of "Kevin's Fifth" (without "The Kevin Show") from Kevin's birthday in 2022: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ6TmGquic18jdUsi=99F7iG5qkdgPCm43 Any time you can find something that's labeled as a "live feed," it will be extremely good. "Live feed" means that it isn't a fan video; it was taken with the venue's own cameras and a direct feed from the microphones, so there's a clear view and there's less crowd noise. Also, you've already reacted to "Daft Punk," but you seem to have missed the private performance of it. It's another fan video, but the view is clear and there's no crowd noise because there's no crowd. It was shot in a quiet room, with Pentatonix off-mic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqiXinapfb1-nas

They're each singing exactly the same verse that they sang in the official release (except Matt, of course, since he wasn't a member then). Matt is singing the same verse Avi sang, but with his own arrangement in order to better use the skills that are uniquely Matt's. This is as it should be - it isn't Matt's job to be Avi; it's Matt's job to be the best Matt he can be. And, as with all members of Pentatonix, his best is spectacular.
@margretrosenberg4204 ай бұрын
They've said that in their recordings the bass (whether Avi or Matt) will record an extra track containing the low bass accompaniment for his own solos, and this applies to their official videos as well, since those are lip-synched to the studio recordings. This is a minor cheat, but they decided it improved the quality of the recording just enough to justify it. But that doesn't work well for live events. Scott is a lyric baritone. In describing a man's vocal range, "lyric" means that the actual range exceeds the nominal range. In Scott's case, he sings everywhere from about the middle of a normal bass range through most of a normal tenor range. Probably five or six octaves. Therefore, Scott can and does take care of the bass harmony line when the bass has a solo in live performances.
@margretrosenberg4204 ай бұрын
Matt's range seems to be growing almost on a daily basis st this point. On the low end he can't go quite as far as Avi, though he's getting close, but on the high end he gets very close to Scott's highest notes. As far as I can tell, Matt has the largest range of any member of Pentatonix, past or present.

Yes, that’s the same section Avi sang. Scott typically covers the bass when Matt solos. People have opinions, but I’m glad Matt made his solo in this song his own. Crowds always seem to love it.

I'd suggest this for the next Babymetal song: -If you want to see how awesome Kami Band is (the musicians that perform with Babymetal) check Rondo of Nightmare (Live at Budokan Black Night). -If you want to see Su's awesome vocals check Akatsuki / Rondo of Nightmare (same live versions as the previous point) or Monochrome (First Take version). -If you want to see what does "EPICNESS" really mean, check "Road of Resistance" (Live in Japan). -If you wanna see a crazy party check "PA-PA-YA". -If you wanna see what Babymetal is about you also have to see Headbanger, Catch me if you can (if possible the Budokan Black Night live concert) , Ijime Dame Zettai, Megitsune, Karate... They have awesome songs but they really shine at Live concerts. I'd also suggest checking the lyrics before the reaction video just to have a little idea of what the song is about, as some songs have a strong message. Thank you and welcome to the Foxhole!

@@TheLeomarti ..and have 9 studio albums everyone made Japan Billboards top 100, have about 80 songs in their discography with absolutely zero bad or even mediocre songs, and did it on their own with no mainstream support (they created their own label to put out their music), play multiple genres. And where American artists use the same 4 chords these girls write musically complex songs and some of the fastest most melodic songs ever written.
