LOL! That camera angle. That SAD picture. This video sums up quite a bit....HA! Thanks for the shout out. I'm still looking for a place for that solar panel. So much, I spend a ton on that thing and I'm going to leave it at home for the Yellowstone trip and bring the generator to charge up the batteries when they get low. With your help and others, I'll find a place for those panels somewhere!!!!

This is definitively the most awkward review of the Signal on youtube 😂. I suggest you to read the instruction before use this deadly tool (and the whistle as well 🤪)

I recieved mine yesterday, its only the alu charge +, however 1 full bit holder was included. Much more useable, however I ordered the bitset too, because I thought I will get 7 bits with the MT. 😅

Thanks for the honest review, Shane. Like you, I'm disappointed in that whistle - and it's the Leatherman Signal! 🤦🏻‍♂️ File that under "Good idea, but...". Thanks again! 73 de KJ7LLX

Good review mate, I was thinking about getting this tool but I reckon I've changed my mind (not quite what I'm looking for in a tool). I really appreciate an honest camper's review of a tool because many others point out all the positives over the negatives but a nice balance is appreciated. P.s. I subscribed, looking forward for more.

Thank you! Overall the Signal is a good multi-tool. But disappointing that the feature that gives it it's name is not upto what one has come to expect from Leatherman.

I love my signal but it’s a total niche for what I do. Search and Rescue it’s awesome for me tethered to my belt. If I lose my main gear with my big ferro rod, saw, and knife I at least have a the means to process wood, start fire, and signal for help. The plyers are nice for grabbing canteen cups from the fire, cutting wire, and fixing equipment. For EDC the wave is more practical. But in the woods I don’t miss the scissors on the wave when I have a SAK SD on my car keys. This tool only makes sense if you need a leatherman over a SAK where you’re going, are going to be in or near wilderness, and are okay with taking a real ferro rod, saw, and whistle in your gear and having this as a backup. With a rope tying this to my belt I’ll know I’ll have it but for most people it may disappoint, I happen to love it though.

Nice. I've had the Leatherman Wave (older without replaceable wire-cutters) for a few years now. It love it and it's been a handy multitool to have on-hand. The Charge Plus looks good and I like the orange. The pocket clip is nice to have the option for too. I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it after a bit.

@@TheScoutLife75 LOL, I think you mentioned it in a post on Buy Me A Coffee. I got into knives and EDC before I got into ham radio, so I had to check it out. While I have plenty of knives, flashlights, multitools, etc., I've been more into radio the last 2 years. Still, I love gear and there's a lot of crossover appeal, especially for portable operators like us.

The nano is a great jacket with an amazing fit and color options. However, in my experience it is absolutely not a stand alone jacket for 19 degree weather. I'd sat the sweet spot as a stand alone would be 32-40 degrees.

The hydration lock that goes across the top of the bag is sub par and extremely extremely difficult to close and lock. The water from the bag has an aftertaste unless it's rinsed about 20 times.

Good product review, I just purchased a nano. You can relate to someone in the market for any Jacket. This will be my first Patagonia jacket, that I’ve heard a lot about so hopefully it won’t be my last. The thing looks like it’s built like an Egyptian pyramid, I really like how compact the jacket is without losing warmth.
