Is there a contract feature in Illustrator like they do in Photoshop? I don't see it anywhere.

Helen, my apology, this question is off topic. What are your opinions of Affinity's graphic art suite?
@HelenBradley3 күн бұрын
I don’t use Affinity myself right now but… they do have a current deal where you can get the software version two for free for six months, I think it is. They don’t charge you unless at the end of the period of time you want to buy it. You don’t give a credit card or anything. I think it’s a really good time to look at Affinity and see if it’s going to work for you. There are three versions - there’s a desktop publishing, a Vector program like illustrator and a photo editor like Photoshop. So you can download all of them (I just did today) and give them a test. That’s pretty much the best information I can give you right now. I hope it helps.

Thank you! I'd successfully Option-clicked Exclude, but then my shape and text disappeared, and I couldn't figure what had gone wrong. Your fix at 03:12 gave me the solution. Thanks again!

Hi, thanks a lot for the tutorial. Sadly my Illustrator alters the reference shape when it replaces the elements. They do not look exactly the same which is really bothering my design. Someone made similar experiences and solved the problem? Thanks

Hello and thanks for this! It worked great. However, when it's all said and done, I need my fading dot object to be transparent (without bringing into Photoshop-need vector). Any ideas? Thanks!

Thank you Helen! You are well-organized and waste no time. Some KZbin "educators" spend about a minute talking about themselves and adding unnecessary details. sometimes they mumble or have unneeded interjections. Not a wasted word with you! and a great pace of showing what to do.

Really appreciate the clear uncluttered approach of your videos. I am self taught in adobe illustrator and I always learn something from your teaching.The “ungrouping after using expand appearance” removed a constant frustration and glitch from my work flow. I am curious about why it works that way, but am absolutely thrilled to learn how to make it work for me rather than against me. THANK YOU!!!

Ms Helen, I haven't tried this yet but I will this weekend. I just wanted to know if you have any tutorials using symbols which can result in the same pattern. ...wondering because I love HOW you teach. I did find a symbols tutorial but I wasn't successful at it.The tutorial wasn't clear enough for me..... so I'm still searching. My goal is to plug in my drawn flowers into the scallop pattern and populate this design using a symbol. Thank you
@alessandrazaccagnacaldo519128 күн бұрын
Ms Bradley I tried this pattern and it looks great. I scaled it to check for any discrepancies and there were none. Somehow when I exported to Spoonflower, there was a break in the pattern as though the edges overlapped at the boundaries. Any help or advice would be great! Thanks!

Good morning, I have been following your tutorials and they are so helpful. I wanted to ask if you could help me by doing a tutorial on making gift tags. At the bottom, it has a scalloped edge with different seamless digital clip art patterns. I am trying to create this. I can send a screenshot of the item. I can't upload it in here. I sent a message on your facebook with the screen print. >:)
