worst fucking bike i ever rode. the suspension is very shit, the bike sounds clunky as shit, and its very tiny its good for beginners only even a carrera vengeance is better

Yes, you can add a pannier rack at the back, as well as at the front. It's best to take your bike to a bicycle shop where they can advise you which model is best for your bike.

These are such great bikes. I had the sage-green version for a landmark birthday five-years ago. I ride it a lot, and it is still going strong. If I was to change anything about it I would have given it a few more gears as standard, but three still works well, and I am not disappointed. I carried a Fiat Panda back axle on mine, six-miles to the garage which was repairing the family car. I got some really strange looks on the way, and cars gave me a massive amount of room when they were overtaking, which isn't a bad thing! But yes; Brilliant bikes, solid, reliable and bulletproof.

Both tyres are in correct direction: Front Tyre: go to frame 0:10 and you will see traed pointing forward. Rear Tyre: check frame 0:27 This is a good article that explains tyre direction bit.ly/4bhnKIe

The factory specification is single speed freewheel. You should be able to replace the single freewheel to a fixed cog.

We think our bike is Model 2009, RRP £299.99. This model was produced over several years with very small variations and sometimes it's difficult to know what year model it is.

@@omabikes l rescued mine as it was dumped..l have it 7 years..regular commutes on it.. now bike packing ..just putting shwable billy bonkers gravel tyres new saddle, grease bottom bracket, new cables all round..l am planning more bike touring..but this bike is perfectly suitable..

BOARDMAN offers very good value for money. Some of their bikes are entry level bikes aimed at low budget customers. In this case don't expect miracles. If you are a rider that expect better from a bike, than you have to be prepared to pay more. BOARDMAN are cheaper compared to othe rbrands and forwhat you pay, you get more than if you buy a bike at the same price from another brand.

The frame and some of the other components on this bike are steel. While steel is a strong metal that will last for many years if it is not appropriately coated it tends to rust. This can be rectified easily by gently polishing the area, removing the rust with steel wool or simply spraying it with GT85 or WD40 and scrubbing with a sponge or a brush. Then you can apply a coat of paint or use a chrome polishing kit.
