A remarkably talentled woman. But I have to admit, I hate when she sings the slow ballads. I think she would have made an incredible female jazz singer. In the 1960's, she sang quite a few upbeat tempo jazz songs, for instance 'Down With Love' and 'Anyplace I Hang My Hat Is Home'. This is a current song of hers that I simply fell in love with. It's a slow tempo, with a jazz instumental sound. She still sounds magnificent. If anyone is just discovering Barbra, check out a song called 'C'est Si Bon'. That song captures her youthful sophisticated style from the early 60's. If you ever really listen to some of her songs, notice how when she's holding a note for a long time, after she's done holding that note, you can actually hear the sound of her inhaling breath because she's held that note for so long.

I love this so much, it reminds me of us.

So about a week ago my dad called me telling me he had a song for me to hear that he KNEW I would love, because he loves it, but he did not know the name of it. Soooooo, I found it!!! :) So lovely!!! Great recommendation Pops!!!
