What is clear is that the DSi xl is the definitive way to play ds games. I have a midnight blue and black DSi xl, and I think the didn’t name the color on the midnight blue right as it seems more like a plain blue. DSi XL is the best handheld of all time. I own 4 3ds XL’s, but my blue DSi xl is the system that gets the most use.

I agree 100%! The difference in picture quality between the DSi XL and the N3Ds XL is day and night. The more I play with the dsi the more I like it! :) And yes the naming does not really matches the color. What are your favourite DS games?

Heck yeah! I actually guessed pokemon White as it was my first pokemon game, and a huge part of my time playing on ds's has been spent on it, and its sequels😅 the ds looks amazing! I've got the same model! Enjoy the giant dual ips screens! And if you got it used I'd suggest checking the dsi shop channel and going to other options and re-download software to see if the previous owner had any dsiware as since there's no accounts it's linked to the dsi itself and it doesn't get deleted when you format the system memory!

@TheBacklogQuest. Ah, sweet! And yeah, white 2 and hgss are amazing games! As for favorite ds games, there's one I absolutely love! It's called 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors! Or 999, it's one of the few M rated games on the ds, and it's amazing! It's a box between sorta novel sections and puzzle rooms! I highly recommend it if ya get the chance! As for other ds games.. Pokemon conquest is a lot of fun and is sorta like a fire emblem game Mario Party ds is a blast in multiplayer and my personal favorite game out of all of them Any warioware games are always a good time! Hotel dusk is one of the most unique games on the system, so I highly recommend that And finally, Dementium the ward! It's an Fps horror game that runs consistently at 60fps and looks phenomenal for the ds! Especially on the dsi xl! If you were wondering what the most impressive title it has is, it's that!

i like this game, believe it or not, for what it aspires to be- a survival horror game for the GBC. if only the fighting portions weren't so poorly done and hard to control. and that god-awful two-tone music that was everywhere. these environments looked a lot better than that other canceled GBC port of Resident Evil, and supposedly that took up so much memory/processing that they couldn't put another animated character on top of it to fight. thus, you had to exit to a combat screen where they set it up in such a way that i felt the tank controls and poor aiming ruined any fun that might have been had. hard to hit the enemies but if you run out of ammo you die, and you move so damn slowly that you can't really pick up any more ammo. not good. you can at least pretend you're playing a survival horror game during the exploration sections.

The first four Silent Hill games are so good. The first two are masterpieces. Their influence on modern psychological horror video games is undeniable. It is very unfortunate that Konami wanted to not only kiII the series with the cancellation of Silent Hills, but also give a leg up to its competition. Capcom seized the opportunity and did RE7 and is doing very well now. P.T.'s legacy continues in various first person horror games now. Canceling Silent Hills was probably the most self-sabotaging decision in video game industry ever. It's still kind of mind-boggling.

@@TheBacklogQuest. Yes, I played the PS2 version. It wasn't a completely terrible game - just kind of unnecessary. Travis was a fine protagonist, but the character models were just awful. Lisa Garland looks about 30 years older than in SH. It wasn't nearly as atmospheric than any Team Silent games, of course. But I think that as far as Western developers have done Silent Hill games, it's probably the best out of those.

Parasite Eve was a legendary game that was Squaresoft at the height of their brilliance. It captured the story it was based on in a way that was very squaresoft rpg with survivor horror elements. What makes this game scary is the unexplainable events that occurs while you play. The bloody locker banging. You open it nothing is in there. The crying child in the bathroom but you don’t know what lies behind the door. It’s the entire atmospheric sound effects that adds up to the suspense. The development team took these features and made it 20X scarier in Silent Hill 3. The way how the game was developed was consistent in making sure the player is constantly at edge while playing the game.

Yes, it was absolutely terrifying back then, as there were no video games that covered these themes. I was already playing Resident Evil by then, but Silent Hill was just so much more serious and dark. My dad had this surround sound system and a big screen TV that was pretty top of the line for the 90s, and once the town got dark after leaving through the house, I damn near had a full blown panic attack. There was nothing like this at the time besides RE1, and RE1 was kinda on the cheesy side, even as a kid.

It almost sounds like you are far from your microphone. Maybe play with microphone position during recording or try FX processing to help. There's a great video called How to Edit a Podcast by Envato Tuts. They show how to do the audio and FX processing and edits in Reaper DAW (free program), but you could find similar tutorials for any program. You could definitely benefit from using a De-esser effect, a compressor, and EQ. Again great video. I like seeing these old games I didn't get a chance to play and you're a natural.

I am glad that you enjoyed the video! :) Did you went for a different route for the re-playthrough regarding the different ending? And did you found anything new / surprising in the second run?

the UI definitely shows it's age with using skills or inventory management, but in my opinion the atmosphere of Fallout 1 is still unsurpassed

Now that you mentioned, the atmosphere is much more darker and depressive than the modern fallout games. Especially in Fallout 4. This game does not have a radio which keep playing cheerful music from the 50's just a grim background music all the time is much more creepier. I should mentioned this in the video. :) Anyway, will do in my fallout 2 playthrough. The UI is not bad at all. Yes it is aged but once you get used to it, it is perfectly fine.
