Just figured it out Matt,instead of using servo slow in the linkedge meue for slow flaps,go to Airlpne menu,into arf and changes to the flap funchion and go to the second page an there is a spedd function there witch alows you to slow the flaps and lets you use the full span ailerons at full speed,check it out👍

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing, I’ll check that out and will included it in a video.

Hi Matt,Iam having an isue with my t16iz super,I have the ailerons mixed with the flaps to get full span ailerons witch work great the problem is when I won't to use the flaps and I slow the flaps down with the servo slow setting and then switch the flaps off back into full span ailerons the flap servos stay at that slow movement,is there any way to have them slow on flaps and back to normal speed on full span ailerons thanks mate,Tony
@MattTakharRC6 күн бұрын
Hi Tony, Yes I had that same problem in this Bush. I’m about to setup my 120” and will try and work around it. I think you might be able to do it using a flight condition, as long as the servo slow function works with conditions. I was going to try setting condition one with servo slow, normal ailerons. Then condition two with full win aileron and normal servo speed. I’ve not had a chance to look at it yet but will be filming my Bush setup in the coming weeks.
@tonybeverley54066 күн бұрын
Thanks Matt for getting back to me,hopefully you will find a workaround for it in flight conditions like you said,I'll keep an eye on your channel for a solution,thanks Matt
@tonybeverley54066 күн бұрын
I just sorted it out Matt,instead of slowing the servo down in the linkage menu,go to the Airplane menu,then to ARF,then change the channel to flap and on the second page is the servo slow for flaps, set that for your slow flaps,and you will have normal speed on your full span ailerons,check it out.😅

Flying with gyro...? why? Only gyro I use is tail gyro on my helicopters. No need for gyro on fixed wing.
@MattTakharRC5 күн бұрын
Hi. I’ve met a number of people who fly with gyros on fixed wing. It really smooths out the flight and is great for cross wind landings.

Who the efff is flying a r/c Decathlon with a gyro??? Seriously, pilots aren't pilots any longer...
@MattTakharRC5 күн бұрын
Hi. Have you ever tried a gyro in a fixed wing plane?
@miksterr9 күн бұрын
iGyro is a great device, your pre-flight check is not ideal if you were not aware it was even on? The gain looked super high also - when initially taxiing can see elevator moving madly
@MattTakharRC8 күн бұрын
I’m pretty sure he said the gyro was meant to be off via the TX. It could just be a simple case of gains being too high. It’s a new model and the gyro has only been added recently. I did notice the elevator when I watched back the footage.
@cymaz1008 күн бұрын
I’ve found gains of 35-40% is about right

Point of running a gyro in a Decathlon..?

He’s trying different things out. The gyro would make it smoother on a gusty day. We fly cross wind a lot so it also helps on landings

Thanks in advance
@MattTakharRC14 күн бұрын
Hi. Do you have the Windows Driver installed? If that’s not installed or Windows doesn’t recognise the device then it won’t work. Check in Windows Device Manager. You will either see it under USB or you will see something called “other device” which means it doesn’t have the driver.
@ntka10014 күн бұрын
Hi, i double click the driver from futaba website and i believe that must be installed. But i don't see anything at the device manager that makes me feel confident that the software is installed. So i don't know what else to do. I am not an expert on pc's. Very confusing set up.
@MattTakharRC14 күн бұрын
@@ntka100 that’s frustrating. If the software isn’t seeing the CIU then it must be the driver. I’m sure you’ve tried the obvious things. Remove the CIU, full reboot, wait for the PC to fully start up then reinsert the CIU. Then load the software up. I’ve just got a new PC for the workshop and will be going through this myself shortly. I’ll try and film it again, hopefully next week depending on how the current project goes. Failing that feel free to email me and I’ll try and help further. Matt.Takhar AT Gmail.com.

great build and first flight. I am seriously considering buying one of these. I think you need to change out the wheels and tires though, bigger ones would be a lot more fun and those stock ones sound like a dump truck lol.

Hi. You need to go for it! I held off for several years and now wondering why. I’m trying to get hold of some 8” PMT wheels but can’t find them anywhere. I’m going to have to look at alternatives. The stock ones are way too small.

I "updated" my T 16SZ to 4.3E and now the low voltage warning is sounding showing 5.8v. I measured the voltage on the newly charged HT5F1800B NIMH battery and it is 7.1v. The transmitter is set to use a NIMH-battery. How do I "downdate" back to an older version?
@MattTakharRC15 күн бұрын
Hi. That’s irritating! I would let Futaba know as it may well be a bug in the 4.3E firmware. You should be able to download the previous version of the firmware and then repeat the update process. I’ve not tried it though.
@merakrut3 күн бұрын
@@MattTakharRC Hey there! I have not heard from Futaba yet. This is so frustrating. Now my battery pack measured 6.68v from just resting for 12 days. When I tried it in the transmitter, it turns on and then immediately turns off. I think I can get the Transmitter working for a short period if the battery is newly charged. Where can I download an older firmware version?
@merakrut22 сағат бұрын
I got an older version 3.7E from my brother, voltage, and everything looked ok. So, I then tried the 4.3E again, the transmitter is still working, showing the correct voltage.👌

Did you have to cut out the plastic in the battery tray to fit the 4S battery? There was a video on the Frenzy that shows that for a 4S they also recommend a higher amp esc.
@MattTakharRC16 күн бұрын
I didn’t but should have. I didn’t realise that until the test flight. I do mention it towards the end of the video. You will need to adjust the tray to get the battery to fit securely and safely
