It’s about exploring the unique challenges that come with being judged or excluded based on others' insecurities. Caring about how people perceive you doesn’t make someone insecure, it makes them human. It’s okay to acknowledge the hurt that comes from being misunderstood or left out, and that doesn’t take away from anyone else’s experiences.

Why is TikTok, a platform that, like all media, has both pros and cons… facing such disproportionate scrutiny when other forms of media that have already commodified our identities remain untouched? It’s like when television first emerged, it was met with similar resistance, with people claiming it would rot our brains and destroy meaningful human interaction. Those are fair points, but banning TikTok doesn’t solve the bigger problem. Every platform- Facebook, Instagram , KZbin, Twitter collects user data and pushes certain narratives. TikTok isn’t special in that sense; it’s a tech industry issue. And my point here is people forget is this ban doesn’t just hurt influencers. TikTok has given small businesses, educators, and marginalized voices a real shot at being heard. We should focus on holding all platforms accountable. The real issue is the system, not just TikTok.

Because as a business owner, her employees relied on their paychecks to cover essentials like rent, bills, and groceries, their livelihoods were tied to the success of her business. Unemployment benefits may offer temporary relief, but they only cover a fraction of regular income and can’t replace the stability or security a steady paycheck provides.
