Nice to see one of these on the road - there can't be too many left. I heard there were issues with the attachment points between the fibreglass body and the aluminum monocoque chassis. This is the car I lusted over when I was a kid. II still think this was one of the prettiest coupes ever made. I remember they listed for $2995.00 when new. Never knew they only came with a 4 speed. Thanks for posting this video!

Really cool! Nice touches with the windshield air dams (in place of visors and wing windows) and the clean, traditional dash layout. Great choice on the steering wheel, too. Not a big fan of the unrefined exhaust note -- sounds like its catalytic converter just got stolen, which probably would have appealed to me at age 17. lol Cheers!

Awesome car, but with the stupid big grin I would have every time I drove it, people would think I was bonkers....lol

I own a 2001 360. Help me out and explain what is this “Cold Start” thing going around on KZbin. Why are people posting these videos?
@djborden9 ай бұрын
The car was for sale, and prospective buyers like to see cold start videos to make sure they start smoothly with no smoke etc. This car sold to someone who was not in our town, so we did this for him before coming to see the car. Most of the cold start videos we do are for Bring a Trailer auctions though.

I was born in 1962. A few relatives had Continentals including my grandfather who was a plant manager for Ford. I loved when I got to ride in one, my favorite seat was the rear arm rest. I could see out all of the windows from there. And of course, I loved the rear opening doors. One of my aunts went from the Continental to the 4 door Thunderbird, that was just as fun.

Thank you, sir, for the ride-along! I’m a happy proud owner of a 1990 944s2 cabriolet….and while I appreciate its “stick to the road like glue” handling, I do so love the sound of your car! Living in the northeast, I put mine to sleep for 6-7 months of the year…so “drive like you mean it” videos are all the more enjoyable. Although, I got a little “sketched out” driving through those next-to-the-shoulder woodlands….expecting an erratic whitetail deer to leap out! I guess that’s a New England thing! Thank you, again. Bravo-Zulu, on a beautiful little video!

These are nice cars, always liked the 62 Lincoln Continental. As a kid I was at my cousin's evening wedding reception in 1965 and there was a kid there about my age I knew and we were out front looking at the 62 Cadillac that drove my cousin and new husband to the reception and he showed me his parents 62 Lincoln Continental. So guess you could say I have had a thing for them since 1965. You should show a picture of the outside. Just curious where was this filmed? Looks a bit similar to near where I live in northern California

I've been reading do not let your Lincoln Continental from the 60s or any other Ford product, run without you sitting behind the wheel and can put your foot on the brake, they with time and worn parts jump out of geer and quite a few have been damage because of this.. Beautiful car though, always loved the 62, it's my favorite Lincoln Continental
