Hi Janita, here is the Time to Screen website. There's a video showing how the test works -- it's a little dip-stick you dip into a poo (in the toilet) and then seal up and send back to the lab for testing. I worked at Wairau Hospital in 1978 as a House Officer. I really enjoyed my time there but we were a house Officer short for the year( only 4 of us) which meant for a challenging roster! The main consultants at the time were Graham Smart, John Inder, Michael and Robyn Fancourt , Robert Logan and Eric Seneviratne. I then went to Perth WA where I have been since. It was great to have the experience there - and I would concur with the above comments re having no Registrars. When I started work at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 1979 as a senior RMO, I automatically put Chest drains in in ED for pneumothoraces - performed Ischaemic arm blocks and did numerous procedures not expected of RMOs - all because of the experience and training I receive at Wairau. I would highly recommend a position there as it still seems to offer what I received. A great little hospital. Dr Richard Christie Paediatrician, Perth WA.

Very cool story, Richard. I'm looking at going into medicine at 32. 10 years in the public service and MHSc. But itching to build a clinical medical vocation. I hope I can get there.
