do you have a manual for how you put this together? im trying to put together a birel art ry30 and having trouble on where to start

@@unicorns9087 No I don’t have a manual. We did already have an RY30 that was fully assembled that we used as guide. Just match up everything in same places

I think that was your best finish, Scott! You stayed with the leaders the whole time. You were better than the leaders through the horseshoe turn and you made up ground on the red turn, too. Excellent drive!!

We were probably 2 teeth higher than what the leaders ran. Got beat in the long straight but could pass in the tight spots. We were both running similar gear ratio. I would go lower next time. The first lap race for I70 turn forces you to run a low ratio or you will loose spots
@FishersofMen682 ай бұрын
Dan, I am guessing that you had one more tooth on your sprocket than the drivers just ahead of you. You would be right on their bumper in the tight stuff and they would pull away on the straights. Did Scott have the same setup?
@badgumby95442 ай бұрын
You missed several opportunities to pass the #2 on the last lap.

Are you able to take the first kink (after the long straight) flat, or is that a lift? Racing lo206 here in about a month, so just generally curious.
@beyondthekarts6222 ай бұрын
no lift on the kink. but they rarely run that config backwards and in a month it will be different.

Geared wrong. You're on the limiter way too much.

Excellent, I have the same system and this was helpful. When I full depress my pedal where the cylinder is fully extended, the pads just touch the disc but don't squeeze it... I need new pads right.
@beyondthekarts6228 ай бұрын
It's possible. You can also purchase brake shims to reduce the clearance. You can usually get 2 wide and 1 narrow shim in each side before its time to replace the brake pads.
@davidmoeller178 ай бұрын
I see those. Looks like 13 and 16mm pads available and the ones on there are still thick but not 16mm. There is one 1mm shim on each side.@@beyondthekarts622

You would think that they would ship the seat that would fit in the kart without having to bend the seat supports.
@beyondthekarts6228 ай бұрын
That is pretty standard for most kart manufacturers. They design the kart for the prototype karting body. My waist is wider so I have to make adjustments. Some have movable struts but those never seem to last.

12 HP. Stinger clutch running 18/70. We were just breaking it in so ran lower gear ratio than normal. I have since changed to 17 driver and will probably switch to 16 to get the RPM's up even more.
