Man I never study strumming patterns. I play by ear and just start strumming and go for it. Music is something someone else may have wrote but you can change it to make it your own. There are a lot of palm mutes. I'll try and find the video and post the link for ya. You can visually see every chord it's just cadd9,G,Em,and D.

Check out who all wrote it. Luke was a writer playing bars in nashville before he hit it big. He co wrote this song. But yes taylor cut it first.

The chords are just em,Cadd9,G, and d/f#. The bridge is just Em and Cadd9. Play the verse with a palm mute. It's pretty easy. I'll make a video if you need one. It wont be but like 2 or 3 minutes long.

It seems the lyrics get a little confused...someone else is leaving or is this man leaving? Is the father leaving or is the son leaving?...lyrics need a couple tweaks.. ... Love tune...I modified the lyrics to match my situation & shared with my daughter...
