At this point, I wish all these schools looking to bail from the ACC would just regroup and decide to expand the ACC... add Oregon and Washington St... perhaps Utah and WV and focus on being a great Conference.

Look at the players WT left especially Jordan Travis and many others. Jimbo left the cover bare and left the program on the edge of academic violations. WT step in and restored the academic in the program plus donated money to the school. I hear no one saying how bad Jimbo left FSU program. You can get away with heavy portal activity in the ACC because its a weak conference and teams in that conference don't recruit well,that approach will never work in the SEC ever and one guy mentioned the portal when it comes to Ohio State and Georgia but they are not using it to the level of fsu they are HS recruiting first and portal secondary supplement and thats why they are a more consistent winner.HS recruiting will always be the life blood of college football.

I think it also depends on if FSU is able to peel away donors from in-state rivals if they were to perhaps gain a series lead or two in the not too distant future. If they were to gain the series lead in Football against Miami, that's a huge bargaining chip they can use for realignment purposes and donor outreach.

SEC bias in football is provable, but this is some evidence for baseball as well. Do we have images from prior seasons for some comparisons? I'm not convinced that the conferences have any real say in this type of stuff. 2004 NCAAT status for a similar reference: ACC: 5 bids; .750%, 1-0-0 (NCSTATE) BIG12: 8 bids, .467%, 0-0-0 BIGEAST: 3 bids, .833%, 1-1-1 (UCONN) B1G: 6 bids, .625%, 1-1-0 (PURDUE) SEC: 8 bids, .500%, 1-0-0 (BAMA) PAC: 4 bids, .600%, 0-0-0
