I am 13 months into my journey with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I had been seeing my Naturopath for over a year prior to diagnosis, and the first thing she said to me when I was diagnosed was “please do the chemo, and we will support you and get you through it.” For me, this was profound, because mainstream medicine had failed me so many times I was very wary. I am being treated through Yale/Smilow, and I also visit the integrative medicine office at the cancer center as well (mainly for massage). My oncology team has been extremely open and even inquisitive of what I am doing from the naturopathic approach. I am so grateful to be approaching this from all sides. Thank you for this conversation! ❤
My cancers came back five times I'm back on this medication for the second time. I'm on palliative care and stage 4. It started in my tonsils, lymph nodes and metastasized to my lung..😢😢😢😢 stay strong fighters.

Just watching again. Do I have a full understanding? You had a lumpectomy on both sides? (First time I have "heard" of that. Not yet seen/heard of that. I have not had surgery yet. Soon to be scheduled. MRI this week. Did not think about or expect drains may be needed. You seem to be doing fine at this point. Did things continue to go well? I am small breasted and hope to have close to what I have now. This video really helps me with what questions to ask before surgery. Thank you...needed to see the g"graphic" video. Thank you again 💐🤗

I take 5 pills in the morning and 5 in the evening (2 times 1,800mg). Im on round 3 and other than fatigue, tiredness and loss of appetite, i feel ok. I will have to do 10 rounds. Pay atention to your nutrition. I eat no sugars, no carbs, no processed foods, no vegetable oils. Basically, i eat "clean" and i think that has a lot to do with how i'm coping with side effects and my general physical condition. I take black seed oil every day and curcumin supplement. Hope this helps. Stay strong & think positive ❤

Are we supposed to close our eyes and listen or are we supposed to stare at the screen? It's my first time doing this so I'm not sure what to do.

That's such a great question! I am not 100% sure! What feels right for you? If you are called to close your eyes, please go ahead! The intention is that these meditations serve YOU and how you want to experience them!

I just had my 6th and final chemo for st3c endometrial cancer. Very tired and woke up having an anxiety attack. I do have anxiety pills so took a half pill. Fear has engulfed me...life is scary. Up until now I haven't felt this way. I have faith but it is shaky right now. Yes fatigue...over powering. Health issues with hubbie and me. We are in our 80's. Maybe I should get some therapy. Thank you for sharing your journey.❤

I hear you and see you! Anxiety is definitely something that has presented itself to me since my diangosis with breast cancer. You are not alone in this experience.

My orthopedic prescribed alendronate for osteonecrosis of my hip. Supposedly it helps prevent head collapse and thereby needing a hip replacement at age 42. Now that I read about ONJ I’m honestly more freaked out about that now and been on 70mg weekly for 3 months now. If I stopped now do y’all think I’d be ok? I got my wisdom teeth still and have thick jaw bone because I have TMJ and bruxism so now I’m all freaked out about any mouth pain

You cannot see cancerous cells through blood work. A MASSIVE piece of misinformation there.
@SurvivingBreastCancer7 ай бұрын
When sharing stories of personal experiences, we don't always know the correct medical terms. However, it is possible that when you do bloodwork, there may be an uptick in your tumor markers which may lead to other tests. Thanks for weighing in!
@twp846 ай бұрын
@@SurvivingBreastCancerA tumor marker isn’t always indicative of cancer either. Uterine cancer can only be diagnosed through a transvaginal ultrasound and biopsy. This patient saying her cancer was diagnosed through blood work only is embarrassingly inaccurate.

I had a port fitted. So much better than a pic line. I was allergic to just about every plaster and it left my arm in a terrible state. It hurt a little. But I only had a local. It was a lot of pushing and pulling but no more bruised arms from chemo and blood tests. Plus you can move about easier and put a cardie off and on. Best thing I did.
