@Pitbullbiscuit if you're installing Darkness Falls, you need to make sure it's for the right Vanilla version and stable. This one is for Alpha 21, not 1.0 or anything else. So check on Steam and make sure you've installed Alpha 21 "Stable"

@kels7780 No texture pack, no small add-on mods or anything like that at all. All I'm playing is just Alpha 21 Stable/Darkness Falls mod. But I am playing in 4k @ Ultra graphics settings. The only setting I've turned down is Shadows, which is on High. Also, my Nvidia 3D settings are set Off (game default) and Quality.

@SnowBee to be honest, I wasn't even sure if Anna was the last Scout. Is Research Rescue from Hell the last quest, then, too? I was planning on building a proper Horde base afterwards and seeing how long I could last, but we'll have to see how I go. Don't know if I'll survive that long, lol

@@OHG-OnlyHardcoreGaming Dr Anna is the last in the quest line. I don't know if Khaine will bring anything new when he releases for version 1. Doing a horde base would be great.

@HurronWarrior If you've noticed, I never use my guns unless I absolutely have to. Because this is on Insane Difficulty, you can burn through the ammo REALLY fast, and I'm gonna need as much as possible for the "Research Rescue from Hell" quest coming up. Also, I don't like killing unnecessarily, it increases your level too fast, and, again, this being Darkness Falls on Insane Difficulty, I would have been running into Demons well before I even got the weapons to be able to kill them (this happened in my last playthrough). So Blood Moon Hord Nights are about survival, just getting through alive so that I can continue on with the side quests. If I were playing on an easier difficulty, I wouldn't care. In fact, I would probably be down there crushing skulls all night, but that is far too easy and becomes boring. But I love your comment. It really helps to keep me thinking and considering new strategies and tactics! 😄👍

Hey HurronWarrior. I just want to emphasise what OHG mentioned. It is all about gamestage. With insane difficulty your gamestage moves up very quickly. Horde nights especially are a game changer with increasing your gamestage in Darkness Falls. The more you kill the higher it flies, fast, and he is still quite a way from laser technology. Also, during horde night he doesn't want animals like dogs and especially vultures. So, if he starts killing zombies, there is a chance the deaths could get replaced by a vulture or some fast moving animal. After horde night or if the building caved in, animals could potentially be more of a problem to stay away from and more difficult to see. Vultures are just annoying at anytime of the night, especially while sitting on a roof :) Finally, a lot of insane difficulty players in Darkness Falls expect to die. It is all about playing and accomplishing Insane difficulty and getting through it. Dying is part of playing. I die two or three times, usually as I am too overconfident at times, but I die and play on, and I certainly don't play insane. However, OHG usually plays a one-life game. So if he dies, it is all over, he stops playing and moves on or starts a new game completely. So the permadeath play style means he needs to be extremely careful in Darkness Falls. Keep that gamestage low for as long as possible.

I've been playing darkness falls on max settings since shortly after it came out I just dont do insane. So I know all to well how tough it gets which is why I play it as in my opinion it's the toughest version out for the game.

@Her_Mans I don't think so. That's one of the detriments to consoles. They are very rigid and don't do well with mods. It would probably have to be some type of official universal expansion pack or something like that. Which I think would actually be awesome to see!
