That third act was brutal. When the memories flood back and you see snippets of what the guys did to them 😬 The revenge was so deserved 🔪👍 The final scene, however, lost me with that 🤨

Thanks for reviewing the Bikeriders. I loved it so much! It's too bad that Nichols is a very underappreciated director. I agree that The Bikeriders is his best movie but I really liked his other works too.

Look into operation condor and how the usa caused the drug war, the immigration crisis and the destabilization of south and central America all with the excuse of "communism". Look into banana Republics and all of the usa's proxy wars in south and central America, to say we should go back in and destabilize it all over again is dumb because it will cause hatred towards governments and cause more people to go into this illegal trade for money.

What I found funny was that Gary is ultimately surprised that Madison is interested in Ron because she thinks he kills people for money. He doesn’t take her belief in him seriously.

..commenting as I watch, hope you dont mind.. ... You ask about a biblical parallel. You're referring to Furiosa, but I have long seen a similarly between Max and Jesus.... hear me out. The bible is very fragmented. We're typically hearing about Jesus from one perspective or another, depending on the book. Stories about the same influential man, told by different people. Just like Max. 3 great societies in the late days of the apocalypse, sharing stories of the man whose involvement directly precipitated the birth of their culture. A shared savior, so to speak. The Great Northern Tribe. The peoples who repopulate Sydney. The peoples of the Citidel. (We are hearing the story of Fury Road from the same history man that tells us of Furiosa.) 3 great societies that share an origin that involves an encounter with the mythical.... Max.

Some guys are Trekkies, some Star Wars freaks. I've been a Mad Max geek since 1982 when I was 7. ... I imagine a distant world future where the thriving societies encounter each other and discover their collective roots are all tied to this one man... This franchise is so deep, and so special.

Just found you guys. This was one of the better reviews I've seen so far. Your connection between Dementus and communism is particularly insightful. ... As for the green place, we see it 18 years before the events of Fury Road. There are men there at that point. The women cast the men out. (And then ruined the green place all by themselves) The people on stilts in the swamp in Fury Road are actually the last of the cast out men. Dr. Miller didn't ret-con anything. All of this backstory existed before Fury Road was ever shot. He started working on this around 1999/2000. The comics cover Immortan Joe's backstory. (Miller wrote the story) The video game covers Max's story leading up to Fury Road and includes characters and locations that appear in Furiosa. (Again, Miller behind the story.) It's all connected, and a pretty deep rabbit hole. ... 🤞🤞 That he gets to make "The Wasteland".

You two are making me want to stay awake in movies. It seems like I have been missing A LOT. For the record, I did not sleep in Sicario or Soldado. Perhaps if I were to sneak a small flask of Mezcal into the theater it would give me something to concentrate on, and enjoy, when the movie sucks.

I may be a minority here, but if the movie doesn't have a solid plot, I'm never going to think it's good. Even David Attenborough's documentaries about animals have plots... but I generally hate modern abstract art so maybe I need to expand my horizons. 😂🤷🏼♀️
