After tearing cartilage in my right knee, I have been taking glucosamine and condroitin, daily for a number of years. I don’t know if it does any good for the cartilage, but there is no pain and the popping in my elbows has ceased.

Helpful video. Regarding rosacea, is there any work being done to learn more about why posterior blepharitis develops and how to reduce it at the source/origin point? It strikes me that many of the treatments are reactive (dealing with downstream symptoms) and not addressing the root cause. As a person with ocular rosacea and GERD, I cannot use antibiotic treatments due to negative and serious side effects, and Omega 3 pills cause GERD. I can see at the end of the video that the doctor recognized the need for more research into the pathogenesis. Thanks.

Dr. Schuricht did my gastric bypass in 2003. I lost weight, had 2 children, gained some back etc. I seriously considered looking into a revision a few yrs ago when I got back up to around 235, but ended up losing weight by counting macros n intermittent fasting. I am now about 160lbs (which is still overweight for someone of 5'1") but I'm working on getting down to around 140. My weight the day of surgery was 320lbs, give or take a lb or 2. So I'm half that now. I'm willing to bet I have a good 10lbs of loose skin though. That's my only complaint after all these years. It would've been amazing to have my "apron" removed, my tummy tucked n my breasts lifted, but life didn't allow for it. He really did change my life n I'm forever grateful.
I’m 2 days post op, in a ton of pain. Everybody, take your time! This is my 4th shoulder surgery and so far the most intense as far as pain goes.

after shoulder decompression i was told after 7 days I should be off the sling and they want me to move the arm to avoid stiffness. But since is my dominant I find myself using the arm more and it hurts more at night . So I think I should used it more to avoid hurting myself and let it heal at a slower pace but that is not what physical therapists want me to do. 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😔

Its geat but for living uterus donors it is a risk. Women who’ve had hysterectomies may enter menopause almost 4 years earlier. The blood supply to the ovaries may be compromised during surgery by ligation, spasm, or thrombosis. Early menopause is known to be associated with increased cardiovascular risk such as heart attacks and strokes, as well as osteoporosis. Premature menopause can also increase the risk of dementia.Hysterectomy weakens the supports for the upper and mid-vagina, and can cause stress urinary incontinence. Removal or cutting of the ligaments supporting the cervix and vagina may predispose women to the development of vaginal vault prolapse. Furthermore, the effectiveness of prolapse repair can be compromised by the removal of the cervix and ligaments, which are used to anchor an effective repair.Studies regarding the effect of hysterectomy on a woman’s sex life can be confusing. Essentially, it depends on whether her symptoms that led her to consider hysterectomy were affecting her sex life in the first place. Women whose sex life was ruined by menstrual symptoms might find hysterectomy “liberating”, improving the sex life that they didn’t previously have. On the other hand, women whose sex life was not affected by their menstrual symptoms need to be aware that studies have demonstrated decreased libido and altered orgasm sensation, especially after total hysterectomy. Nerve damage during surgery may be a cause. For some women, uterine contraction is essential for orgasm. This could be lost after hysterectomy, leading to failure to orgasm or changes in the nature of them. Surgery may also change the anatomy of the top of the vagina, resulting in an altered sensation for women and their partners. Constipation following hysterectomy has been reported, and this may be a result of nerve injury.A recent Mayo Clinic study has shown that hysterectomy, even without removal of the ovaries, is associated with a 33% increased risk of coronary heart disease. The risk is increased by 250% if the hysterectomy is performed on women younger than 35 years of age

My neurosurgeon at a major medical university failed to look at ordered imaging results for an entire 4 months. Bottom line - I couldn’t have the focus ultrasound surgery. I was informed 1 week prior to the surgery. The NP called! I cried and insisted I wanted/expected the neurosurgeon to explain to me! His excuse for the delayed looking at my imaging results? “Staffing issues” - insinuating medical interns to blame. The INITIAL imaging test indicated my skull is too thin. 4 months of multiple lab tests, imaging and apprehension. Seriously! 4 months when the very 1st imaging results if looked at would have saved me all the rest testing etc. This was a major known medical university. Now I am going every 3 months for botox injections 5 each arm and 2 in jaw muscle and 2 in chin - ET hands and chin. It’s not permanent and not 100% but it’s better than no treatment. AND it treats both sides of my body vs Focus Ultrasound is only 1 hand. DBS involves implantation of wires and a battery - no thanks. Be sure to vet your neurosurgeon, hospital and ALL your imaging tests!

Cancer and HIV have been deadly diseases for so long and many demonized those with it the stigma of just knowing a cure can finally exist soon is a breakthrough! Nobody should have to mourn a friend or a member of your family 😢this is truly amazing! 🫂

My brother was just diagnosed with stage 4. He is inoperable right now. We start chemotherapy on Monday. We are also doing a high fiber diet with alkaline fruits and vegetables. A papaya smoothie, oatmeal blueberries and pumpkin seeds. All anti parasitic. Sour sop smoothie, sea moss gel. Lentils, quinoa and black seed oil. Also green tea 3x a day. Pray we get to operable soon! We are fighting for him and praising The Father in advance! All high energy, music, singing and laughter. There has been tears, but we have a great plan. Pray for Tim, we call him bear.🐻
