I’m with DDL about the specialness of Heath’s performance in MONSTER’S BALL. Which he then managed to equal in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.

DDL is so natural, sincere & humble. Here he is, winning an award & devoting his Speech time to pay his respects to another actor, one who had just died.
@DamplyDoo2 ай бұрын
He made this moment his crowning moment a speech about somebody he admired who passed away. That is powerful

Beautiful dedication! I simply adore DDL. And just finished watching Brokeback Mountain for the third time in my life and it keeps getting better and better every time I see it. heath was a brilliant actor who touched many hearts with his performances and died far too young.

His performances in Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight are classics now - he created extraordinary characters that will live on. We lost him way too soon.

It's well known that DDL won an Oscar for his performance in My Left Foot. This video should win an award for My Left Ear.

Daniel-Day Lewis never met or spoke with Heath Ledger 📒 yet there are multiple moments where he praises his work. Damn what could’ve been 😞

The only man in Hollywood with dignity and empathy, remaining true to himself. Quiting acting was the wisest thing he did! Only love and respect for this wonderful human being!

Beautiful. Personally I loved I'm not There too his wife Michelle was also in that as was Christian Bale another dedicated British method actor myself being more partial to music than comic books prefered their work in the Bob Dylan inspired story I recommend it.

I always watch DDL accept awards because he's always so eloquent and I notice no one ever dares to start playing that music to wrap up when he speaks. Yet another sign of respect.

DDL is a once in a generation actor he is beyond phenomenal and when he says he admires your work and he would of like you? You know you have made it

Really wonderful to know that DDL talked about the Joker role that Ledger played. He described it from the writer's point of view and in a formal theatrical way as if the Joker's severe mental status wasn't even human. Loved that! What an artist we just lost!

You're all fools. The people You're saying are all great, legends even. But, there shouldn't be any comparisons between any of them so for all of you to bicker amongst yourselves is just funny. Relax guys. This is just youtube. PS- please don't forget Denzel and Hanks. Denzel is, you know, the only one who comes close to DDL when we're talking trophies. So if you purposely didn't include him, SHAME
