I fell in love with this song from Barbara Bonney's recording. Absolutely beautiful here! That climax that triggers that circle of 5th progression is just such an emotional catharsis!

This talented fellow must suffer under a 'pearl necklace' teacher. No sweep. Open vowels on higher notes distort the line. But he's on his way. Bravo.

Being an armchair expert must be so hard. I mean, unsubstantiated opinions, with no explanation, background, qualifications? Must be hard work going that far out on a limb. Ever heard of just scrolling past something you dislike? Give it a try sometime. Andrew Craig Brown is a Yale graduate, and while young, has amassed a body of work both in opera and oratorio, and has received quite a bit of critical acclaim. You might want to educate yourself before you toss around your laypersons opinion. That is, unless you're an opera critic, or singer, but then you'd have a bit more grace and professional respect.
