My last 2 excursions drew a blank, sunday 11th at penmon quarry lost a good fish and float to the rocks/weed saw loads of garfish jumping. Then monday went to Pwllheli but the south westerly brought loads of weed and spent nearly an hour getting it off the line so packed up and went to cemlyn, no weed and no fish but had a splash to my top water lure. Just hope my next session improves

I totally agree with your philosophy, I did the same and I'm glad I did. I'm only 60 years young but arthritis has hit hard and I couldn't do many of the marks I've fished in the past, pretty much beaches from now, plus a bit of coarse and fly of course. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to up my game on the beach and bank, still plenty to learn. Only thing stopping me at the mo is lack of transport and cash. Knocked up 50 rigs this weekend and I'm straining at the leash, soon as I can I'll be back out there. We've only got one shot at life and a head full of memories is preferable to a head full of regret. Still chasing (amended) dreams. 🧔 👍

Ah yes, the dogfish beach

Another great session Tommy and I also saw the Northern Lights which really do look amazing. It's also quite incredible the amount of shooting stars you see while night fishing. A quick question for you is have you ever fished the wreck of the Missouri at Porth Dafarch? It was 425ft long and lies in around 14 meters of water. I did quite a bit of research on wrecks which are within casting distance of the shore. Most of the information I found on diving sites plus my sisters partner who used to be a commercial fisherman back in the day. I've been trying to convince the Mrs that I need a fishing Kayak for next year but she's worried about the safety aspect of them even though I used to be a lifeguard. Know that area well! Of course the coast on the far side of that headland with the power station is my nearest spot, in fact I'll give it a bash tomorrow (Sunday 18th) just about a mile away from where I'm sitting! Great to finally find a local fishing channel. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍😊

I share the sentiment. Haven't cached anything in 3 days. waking up 3 in the morning, fishing high and low, different rigs and bait arrrgggg! Good vid thanks for sharing!

Theres a great Bass spot just around the coast from Penrhos. Fish blow lug on the bottom. Take the coastal path from the carpark, past "Arthur's Seat" fish 2 hours down and 2 hours up tide. I buy those little tins of anchovies from Aldi or lidl and elastic them in with squid baits. Good for Gurnard and thornbacks.

Nice session, reminds me of when I could fish till dawn, wash, breakfast and go into work. I did fish with the boss though and we'd knock off at lunch time, few hours kip and do it all again. Oh! The heady days of youth. 😂😂 Cheers Tommy for the moment and the memories. 🧔 👍
