Her acting pissed me off. Was she supposed to intentionally try to look guilty?
@Zombiesbum13 сағат бұрын
Emotions betray actions mate. It's like being pissed off at someone who flinches during a lie detector question. In addition, anyone can "look guilty" if they are in the presence of a ruthless killer with the authority to have them whisked away on a whim. Hence why even those who are "on the same side" are concerned due to his reputation. Are they guilty too? Maybe you should be less pissed off with acting and more pissed off with your own lack of understanding of how humans act under intense pressure.
@THEBARASSOCIATIONBRC-fe5vb9 сағат бұрын
@Zombiesbum You're just making poor long winded excuses for bad acting. I didn't say this about any other actor in any other scene. Why don't you actually try having your own opinion rather than blindly defending a popular one. I thought she looked foolish here. It's my opinion.
@Zombiesbum8 сағат бұрын
@@THEBARASSOCIATIONBRC-fe5vb Ahh yes, say "bAd aCtiNg!!" without actually going into detail of what makes it bad. I also have my own opinion, and you wouldn't want to hear what I think of contrarians like yourself. That and youtube will delete my comment for any colourful language that I might use to describe your insignificance with. Maybe when you have an opinion, you should actually consider whether it's an opinion to declare your lack of conformism or an unwarranted emotional reaction or whether it's actually an opinion rooted in logic. Perhaps if you had more self-esteem you'd recognise that sometimes "the popular opinion" is popular for a reason, and thus come to the same conclusion. You're something special for sure.

The music , the way he introduced him in French language, the way another guy stands up for landa,the way he looks down at her and grabs her hand to check her heart beating Tarantino is a genius, and the all actors in that room are all the best, can’t imagine better than that

Landa is testing to see if she is an orthodox jew. Ordering milk and cream that has not been deemed kosher to see if she would eat it is the test along with the "friendly" interrogation.

@Fierceprotector6 күн бұрын
Yeah that and he doesn't care if she's a jew or not. His agenda was never to kill jews, it was to follow orders. He himself said people call him jew hunter but it's a name that was evolved over time because of his prowess in killing them. He didn't initiate that name. So he just does his job. Now one knew she was shoshana and he didn't have orders to kill her. So he spared her life.
@canelo172822 сағат бұрын
@@Fierceprotector You have no idea what you are talking about. He ordered a strudle to see if she was Jewish. Jews cant eat strudels and the cream he ordered. Not kosher.
@SrinivasanSivabalan14 күн бұрын
He knew she was Shoshanna when she tried to eat the strudel before the cream arrived. He knew it 99% even before that, but this was the moment he knew 100%.
@NiGHTSaturn14 күн бұрын
I read somewhere that the kind of cream made for these desserts was made with pig fat during this time to cut costs. So Landa was actually testing her to see if she would eat things that aren't kosher.

Is this a great movie???? Yes but its definitely overrated asf!!! The only thing good about it is the writing & acting otherwise its just a copy of older films all sliced together because that is what Tarantino is best at!!!!! The only original movie Tarantino actually has thats not copying other films is his last film & that's literally it & even that movie has other small film references!!!! Im not hating , i love his writing & direction but i prefer originality over remakes even if he does a amazing job at switching them up to the point that u don't even know hes copying anything from a older film!!!!! This film is literally based on the original "Inglorious Bastards" movie & definitely"The Dirty Dozen" (a amazing film btw) & the beginning scene that everyone loves so much is literally just a copy of the intro from "The Good The Bad & The Ugly" !!!!!!! Honestly the only scenes in the film that aren't copied from something else is the Basement scene which is obviously the best scene but still!!!! This movie is extremely overrated regardless of how good it is 🙄💯 I saw this in theaters back in 09 & not a single person cheered for it when it first came out nor did they sit their silent all shocked , everyone just got up & left like it was a good movie but definitely not the hype ppl turned it into today 😂😂😂 The writing is probably his best in a single film but the idea of the film itself definitely ain't top 5 Tarantino!!!!!! Honestly Chris Waltz got famous from this film & hes amazing in it but i actually thought he deserved his Oscar way more for Django Unchained considering he's a labeled "Bad Guy" actor so obviously his "Good Guy" role in that film will be his best just like Leo DiCaprio is a labled "good guy" actor so obviously his best acting is going to be when he finally got to play the villain like he did in that film!!!!! Same with Denzel in "Training Day" , type casted actors always do best in the roles they never do❤ Only rookie Tarantino fans that didn't watch him growing up in the 90's would put this movie in their top 5 🥱

I think this scene is actually Christoph Waltz's finest performance. Everything down to the manner in which he chews on the strudel, has been miticulously strategised by him to be as annoying, arrogant and obnoxious to the audience as possible. Only a true master of the art could figure out how to chew like Colenel SS Landa would chew!

Quentin has all but admitted that he slept with Uma (see his Inglorious Bastards interview on Howard Stern). Does he think she did that because she’s actually attracted to him 🫤 I ain’t saying she’s a Gold Digger, but she ain’t messing with a broke…. & her acting career isn’t exactly settling Hollywood on fire.
