I think it's pretty telling that they're entertaining and still fantastic to watch even when they're not having a great day. If you watch this entire show, it's clear they're...off. I think the mics are kinda shitty, and Davey was clearly struggling. He seems pretty exhausted and even in pain (during, for example, Death of Seasons. By the end of it he's just forcing the screams out, and he drops the microphone immediately after he's finished.)...but I admire them so much for all the dedication and passion they put into their performances, even when they're off, they keep on going.

I think Davey actually had that surgery way before this, '03 or '04. It was during the STS tour and they cancelled a bunch of shows, I believe. I think maybe he was just struggling this show for whatever reason. I've seen him perform the same songs before and after this fantastically, he just wasn't at his greatest this time. (Also, shoddy equipment? Davey's mic is pretty quiet and Hunter's and Jade's are really loud.) (Omg! He did accidentally spit. Well, whoever it landed on can say Davey spit and then apologized, not everyone can say that. ;D )

I'm starting to wonder if there was really shitty microphones during this show? Because Davey is really quiet at some points (when Girl's Not Grey started, I couldn't hear him at first!) and Jade and Hunter are REALLY loud. I love their background vocals, but they shouldn't be louder than Davey. o__o (Damn but I love Adam's drumming, he's fucking fantastic, and I have a fondness for it in the second half of Girl's Not Grey...but I just love it all the time. :D )

And by terrible I just mean.. They just aren't what they used to be. Like God Called In Sick Today, Probably wont hear another song like that.. Which is ok.. Wouldn't make sense if we did.. just.. I dunno.. I'm really nostalgic with this band I guess.. I can't help but be biased.
