Where do you put materials when you have to make a run?

Good question. Most of the time inside of the vehicle. I haven't run into issues thus far needing more space due to materials. I am sure I eventually will though.

Ready for a laugh? Im a contractor and have a small company mostly residential electrical apartment maintenance ect so you have an idea. I wear sketchers step in 2x pairs with puncture resistant insoles and toe caps. Two pairs so i never have a dirty pair in clients homes and that insole and toe makes them basically a safety shoe even on commercial sites. I never have to deal with hot boots and i dont care how bad they get messed up because i just buy a new pair for 30-60 bucks every 6 months to a year. My feet never get hot since there pure mesh basically there just plain comfortable. Since i started doing this never have to wear boots agian and way more comforable. Its a good way to not wear booties or show covers (saves money).

I would consider getting all the things you use the drill for in a 1/4 hex shank so you can dump that drill. It wasnt long ago after an audit of all my tools I saw a point where other than 2ft long auger bits i didnt use a drill even weekly. If you need to up the storage on the inside of the boxes you can velco bucket organizers (very cheap) that you cut up to put pockets on the inside of that pit that is a box. All that will help you keep the associated accessories stay with the power tool.

I run a company myself and we have vans trucks ect. It turns out I love my near half a million mile (small hatchback) matrix! I do use clear totes so i can see whats inside and built rear sliders for it. Since its a work rig its plywood 1x6's bolted to cargo hooks on slides where you can pull the tray out back. Stuff like this cost around 200 bucks to make and its rattle canned black but nice to pull the entire assembly out back for easy access. I did put colored vinyl over the rear windows for theft issues mounted more sliding rails on the side window area above the other platform. If thats a work only rig you can avoid downstacking suff by making a nice setup that slides out or uses every inch of space for materals.

You got alot of your bases coverd there for sure. I would work on getting nicer brands/quailty of tools that you really enjoy using. Thoes nippers could serve as your hammer easily dropping a pound plus off your bag. In your situation your in a unique situation to get square storage conainers or parts bags that fit down the middle. If you put your less used tools or sockets just not such everyday stuff in boxes down the center you can free up space on the sides and raise up the stuff in the bottom of the bag so its easier to grab. You can do parts organizers magnetic parts tray or even gladwear to do this. Just seeing how down down you have to reach and hard things can be to get raising them up would help. The hammer for me is almost useless even when i do i carry a double ended steel/rubber or plastic one to add versatility. Park tools (the bike company) makes a good low cost steel/plastic hammer for under 20 bucks. I would suggest the tiny 10-12in pb swiss model i use but that is way more than the average price of the tools there. Keeping weight down really does help.

What type of handy man service do you specialize in. I would add some channel locks, a short torpedo level, and maybe a wrench set. Good video, I liked it. Maybe one day I will do a video of what I carry. Anyway stay safe and have fun

Interesting video, and some nice tools, but not knowing the typical jobs you get called to do, some of the choices (and omissions) seem "odd"...I hardly ever use sockets around the house for instances, certainly not enough to justify including them in an every day bag...if I did use them reasonably often, I' d also include a 2" , 6" and possibly a 12" extension. In reality, I have a couple of separate sockets sets I carry when needed... I don't really see many plumbing tools, stuff for doing minor but common repairs....You probably have a separate plumbing kit, but I would recommend carrying a wire "rake"/ unclogged tool and long nose pliers for unblocking sinks ect. I would also carry one of those plumbers multi tools for dealing with the various pipes under sinks...A garbage waste disposal wrench would be useful...I suggest these as they allow you to do small fairly common plumbing jobs quickly.. Apart from plumbing, I would want a compact/ folding dry wall saw, a selection of drill bits, a socket outlet tester, a usb tester, a smallish LED work light (Icon do a nice one in the States) and an led penlight inspection torch... Consumables wise, I would have a small parts container with a selection of fuses, screws, nails, and drywall fixing ect..I would also carry a range of glues in smaller containers, some 3 in 1 oil, PVA tape, and insulating tape... Tools I would remove include that full size framing hammer and replace with small mini/stubby hammer. The full size framer would go in a tool belt for framing work and similar. I would probably move the fish tape into a dedicated electrics tool bag as well...

@@platinumhandymansolutions Glad you found them useful...In truth, these tool bags tend to evolve anyway...A few others thing I forgot to mention and I don't recall if you have are a largish flat blade screwdriver to use as a beater/pry bar ect...I think the term used is "demolition screwdriver"...it's a general tool that can be useful in a variety of situations, a radiator bleed key to remove air from your central heating radiators (if applicable) and finally any "access keys" to get in meter/water cabinets. If you ever work light commercial premises, you'll end needing a selection of these but I don't know the common types/sizes used in the States.....Good luck, and keep the videos coming!

You need to watch a video on how to use the circuit tracer. I had trouble at first until i realized you have to scan the entire panel once to learn then a second time to locate. Basically the first time it looks for any signal and then the second scan tells you where the strongest signal is aka the supply circuit the transmitter is plugged into. Hope that helps

Are people not allowed to to clean ones tools after use? Mine are in fantastic shape clean as can be and I own my own business plus work 40+hours of service calls. I dislike feeding 🧌 but these are a special type. I can imagine someone who has cheap tools and a handyman who isn't likely to get to dirty doing common tasks probably takes care of his stuff. Either he can't afford expensive tools so he has to clean them so they last or he bothers to protect his livelihood with a simple wipe down. Take those comments elsewhere you troll 🧌.

I wasn’t impressed by this bag until I started to think about it. You have just about everything you’d need to diagnose and create a material list for a repair in a home. I’d like to see channel locks, needle nose and diagonal cutters in there though. Tubing cutters as well. Also the jab saw doesn’t come to a point and might be hard to plunge into a wall.
