@@zacktactical7128of coarse. Just look at the game. The characters look like their from rust. And all rubber. The way characters move is spastic and on the level of a kid shooter. All of the UI’s look like this game was slapped together in unreal. And my BIGGEST biggest annoyance of this game is how it looks. In how every metal thing in this game looks like rubber. Like someone honestly looked at this and said “yeah that’s super right”. It’s just dumb. This whole thing is a dumbing down for consoles simply because they don’t want to make a new Ip and new name because “everyone knows arma” instead of making a new game that is arcade. It’s really disgusting and lazy.

@ from my experience your graphics settings may be very different then mine. I don’t see any of the issues with visuals you listed. As for rust characters, I can see a resemblance, but frankly they look more realistic than A3 in my opinion. As for the UI and gameplay movement, I’ve got 6,000 hours in A3 and it is far more fluid than that game for sure. In terms of UI, as mentioned in the video, there is a massive improvement by not requiring constant menus for things, and having control tips on the side is okay with me. People tend to shit on the console demographic hard in the PC community, but frankly people are just bitter IMO. Arma needs console players if it wants to keep its edge going into the future, milsim games are no longer the forefront of gaming. Unless Arma 4 in 2027 can rejuvenate the idea, we need console compatibility, so I’m okay with taking a hit.

@ this is a problem even in max graphics. This is a fundamental issue with the renderer and how metals are rendering. Where everything looks like plastic. I’m pretty sure it’s because of pbr files that react to sunlight and have a reflective effect. This is a problem in dayz and has been since the beginning Look more “real”? Than arma 3 even? No way. You look at the faces and it looks straight out of rust. And if you can draw any similarity to rust in a “milsim” than there’s a problem. I sure don’t have remembrances of rust when I watch arma 3 AT ALL nevermind arma 2. This UI is a styling choice. A specific intended choice because it’s for a new audience. And that new audience is console. That is why it looks like this because this is what “console” looks like. It doesn’t have to be this way. I agree. Menu after menus is not good, especially if you’re in a controller. But to have it look like that is just childish and makes it seem like this is a toy army men game not a game for men. Men. Not kids. You want console? Fine. Make a console game SPECIFICALLY. Not try to build one game for both. Because when you do that it lacks the complexity a keyboard is able to do. So then it just feels watered down because of being built for a controller. WHICH IS HOW IT HAS TO BE. Because a controller does not give you the level of control of a mouse which is why the systems and such are made easier because thumb sticks are not as accurate either. They’re taking the cheap and lazy route. One game. Two platforms. Building for the lowest common denominator and shilling the game out to plebs and casuals

If just using OPTRE it’s “Insert” to activate and shift + insert to customize. For misriah armory mod it is the same Check your controls > addons to make sure and you can customize it from there.

@@JPhantom7 update your drivers, set graphics settings preset to medium-low, make sure you have decent internet. Finally, make sure the server you join has good ping.

@@zacktactical7128 Thank you, but no fix. I think it's just the servers I play on. I get good ping on the Darkgru servers, but they're constantly crashing or restarting.

@@svoboda1803 it happens sometimes, some servers are good when many are bad.

@@svoboda1803 optimization and the games netcode could def use a update. Ping is a mystery in this game we are still working through, but we’ve only been a unit for about two weeks.

@@MrBuckeye767 that is my only issue so far. All of my ops in my unit have been started using game master, and we build the op and plan within an hour. Then we step off for two hours. It’s workable, as long as the game master/zeus does their homework prior to the operation.

I dont think you understand how difficult it is to move a game to a new engine. Arma 2 was by the the worst of the 3 so I honestly don't know what youanre talking about. Load up arma 2 campaign and tell me that there aren't crazy visual bugs even when stood still.

@@jaype331 among many and alot of things. just got done playing a wcs server with baseline server 10fps highs of 15fps, and then after couple hrs it crashed. not even the fault of wcs, its purely bohemia incompetence.

The floating sandbags were from ZEI interiors mod. It happens when the Zeus doesn’t make them destructable. And for the map marker names, we label all our shit in the IRL Military. It’s unit dependant though so good notes overall.
