Keep thinking of Charles Dickens. Constant theme, poor men and women unaware that they are beneficiaries. Throughout the tale, state actors (the collective) are trying to stop them, end them. The beneficiary is an orphan (family destruction), on their own, strictly an individual. Another theme - the individuals never work together to succeed (not allowed?). Lesson - the hero perseveres traps and attacks, the hero also educates himself in how the state apparatus works. Only then does the hero get help from a 'benevolent' actor and goes on to receive the benefits locked in trust. Often, the benefactor, who has improved their circumstances, had to leave this land to gain wealth. They return and set up their own trust. Even useful parent/benefactor set up trusts, but still allow the state to come between them and their children - blunting their good intentions. Magwitch can give his wealth to Pip, but not his valuable guidance as he is on the run from the state. This illustrates the main failing of parents (mentioned in this video), they faithfully pass on all their conditioning, nonsense, and vices. But they neglect to pass on the true lessons they eventually learn to their children. Most living breathing souls come into this world unaware of their worth, having to learn all lessons without useful guidance, in a system designed to ensnare, prevent, punish, block the individual at each turn. The odds are stacked. Retaining soul and energy is a miracle! The system will punish you for achieving this - have you noticed? It should be the only battle that truly matters. You must congratulate yourself for having achieved this feat, you do not require recognition from outside the sovereign self.
