I heard this song on the radio in Germany back in 2007. I hadn't heard it in years on the radio in USA! I still remember seeing the music video on MTV in '86.

I swear I love this song. There are a few songs that transport me back to the 80's instantly. This 1, Captain of Her Heart by Double, Suddenly Last Summer by The Motels are the top of my list. There are so many others also. These hold special meaning to me. The innocence of youth, the turmoil of growth, the pain of loss...

i've been a big fan of Genesis and Phil Collins' solo works for decades. i knew of Mike Rutherford's "solo" projects of the mid- to late 80s. The sad thing is that later albums the Mechanics put out seem to have gotten virtually no recognition in America. I keep discovering Mike's solo works from the '90s and beyond and find that it's just as good as anything. my personal music library continues to expand as i now add songs like this to my listening playlists.

Always clearly remember my faves from the music of my life the early 80s was Highschool and the late 80s my College years. Music was a HUGE part of my life. Especially love this decade. Miss it like crazy . Sadly they don’t make music as fantastic anymore .
