Thanks for the video. At 3:55 you can see an eyelet on the bumper. The push pin you remove secures it all together. It looks like a section is missing. On mine, that whole eyelet is broken off so the pin can’t hold the bumper on. Any suggestion to restore the eyelet? I superglued a washer where it should be but don’t think that will last. Thanks!

I understand. I've had little problems like that, and I know you have, too. Don't know...monitor it. If it all comes back apart, maybe glue some little piece of plastic up in there as a backing, then put a very slender, skinny sheet metal screw through it, nearest the inner side, toward engine direction. That way, if it gets ripped off again in the future, it won't tear it up so bad. Just a thought...you might create your own solution.

Much appreciate that your posting referenced the post of the dude who replaced the Air-Mix Control module on his ‘07 Civic. So actually, he should get credit for the actual "how-to-do-it". The HVAC console on 06 -'11 Civics are capable of self-diagnosis. I simultaneously depressed my Recirc & Rear Defog buttons before turning the ignition On. The LED on the Front Defrost button blinked a DTC of code of “2” which translates to a short in the air-mix control circuit. The most obvious culprit on that circuit is the module so, Bingo! What helped me most was your screenshot. It showed the motor described as a “Blend Door Actuator”. Honda calls it an “Air-Mix Control Motor/Module” so initially, I kept finding assemblies but no success finding just the motor. I eventually settled for a DORMAN 604-879 (costs a tad more). Maybe it's just me, but I still believe OE parts that display a known manufacturer’s name projects more confidence - especially if it'll involve R/R work in a convoluted place…

Good information, thanks. If doing this repair on a 2011 Insight ,I’d recommend replacing the upper bracket screw with one that’s 1” shorter and grinding down the hump on the back upper part of the metal bracket . This makes the reinstall so much easier.
