It’s good if you want to work double , but if we use the stencils : it will be done quick ,and will be looks nice to .

I think stencils are a great idea, however, I've done a lot of wall stenciling and the edges just aren't as crisp as they are with a brush. I also found it time consuming to wipe the stencil after each use. I do like the idea of not drawing out the lines though! :)

I taught my kiddos to do their laundry at age 8, basic only at that age. Thought that if they knew how to operate a computer, IPAD, phone, that they could turn the knob for the washer and dryer. Also, it worked for me to do my laundry during the a.m. Fridays and Mondays(that way they we have clothes for the weekend up till Monday and then on Monday for clean clothes for the school week). They do the same bit in the eve when they get out of school. They are pros now at doing laundry❤.

Hi there! Thanks so much for this video. I got all the products you recommended. I got the shellac primer, paint and antiquing wax. Can you please tell me how much time I should allow each to cure before moving to each step? (ie. Going from priming to painting... going from painting to wax)
@HouseMixBlogАй бұрын
I'm excited for you! I would read the directions and see what the manufacturer says, but primer and flat paint dry pretty quickly. So at least an hour, but maybe a few more just to be safe. Hope you love it :)

We have found that cleaning/having extra outdoor trashcan and putting a trash bag in it then filling them with water and putting a lid on it during the storm also gives you extra water to use to flush toilets with.

I have 2 difficulties printing your printable. First the pop up ads are difficult to remove so you can get a clear print . Every time I click the x to remove them, it goes back to the beginning of the blog or takes me to the ad. Also when I begin to print the orintables, I see the original broken into bits - not the original all on a page. Help.

I'm sorry to hear that. What printable in particular would you like? I'll give you a direct link to the JPG.

❤ the paintings on your wall are absolutely gorgeous. Hopefully I find some tutorials on your videos because I love the idea of painting or stenciling your wall rather than using wallpaper
@HouseMixBlog2 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yes, painting or stenciling can be a lot cheaper than wallpaper and then when you want a change you can just paint over it :)

This is so interesting, I knew you could go to a Naturopathic Dr. for tests but never have. I also have a lot of joint pain and congestion among other things. I’ve identified some foods over the years that bother me and eliminated those from my diet and drink way less alcohol as well. Thanks so much for sharing your journey, I’ll probably order a kit! I just discovered your channel today (saw the vid with the beautiful murals/wallpaper in your home) and have subscribed to your channel!
@HouseMixBlog2 ай бұрын
I felt the same way. It's hard to know what doctor to go to and of course you wonder how much it will cost, so I thought this couldn't hurt! It's confirming when you see those foods you've already identified come back as a red zone as well. I wish you luck in your own journey! And thanks so much for being here :)

I use a lot of animals in my place for whimsy. At an antique shop I bought a ceramic pig, lying on his back and he looks so comical. He is from Germany. I use him as a doorstop and I smile every time I see him. He is so goofy and adorable at the same time!

Hi so beautiful! May I ask what kind of paint do u use for the tile in the shower? I’ve been wanting to paint the tile in my bathroom, so bad but I don’t know what to use other than the stuff they have at Home Depot. That is very toxic and smells very bad so I was wondering what you used.
@HouseMixBlog2 ай бұрын
Thank you! There are different ways to paint tile, but I have been using Stix bonding primer + oil based enamel with pretty great results. I hate to say it smells pretty toxic too! 😬

How does paint hold up on shower tile walls?? Would love to do this but if it chipped it would ruin it.
@HouseMixBlog2 ай бұрын
Painted tile is not the same as factory-made tile and is a risk if you need it to hold up for more than three or four years. I painted tile in two of our bathrooms because we plan on remodeling in a few years and they’ve held up well. I have had to patch a couple scratches in our other shower and you really can’t tell. I have a detailed tutorial and 6-month critique here if that helps :) www.housemixblog.com/2020/03/05/how-to-paint-bathroom-tile-floor-shower-backsplash/
