Better try JC Bach A Major Sonata from op.17 , thats the canon which Mozart strived to reach on most of his sonatas, and its absolute lyrical beauty

o, I still haven't been able to find out if this is a actual Bach composition or not. Anyone know for sure? Sounds like it influenced Chopin's 4th E minor prelude.

As far as I know, the attribution to J.S. Bach is not watertight in the way that it is for his few published works or those that exist in many reliable manuscript copies. However, I am not aware of any competing hypothesis with a better claim to documentation.

A wonderful video. It's surprisingly hard to speak well and play immediately after but this just flows naturally. I've enjoyed some other videos on this channel (notably the Byrd/Bull talks and performances) too. Very engaging!

The clavichord recording is too weak, I have played a clavichord with a full sound. Maybe microphone is too far away. Maybe it is a simple mobile camera recording without a separate mic, and maybe it was adjusted to speakers volume.

Die Interpretation deiner eigenen Spielweise zu verschiedenen Kompositionen gefallen mir außerordentlich und gehören meiner Meinung nach zu sehr guten Musikern! Entérate que no es Chopin. Instrumento inadecuado, temperamento indecuado, pedalizacion inadecuada, crescendo y diminuendo inadecuados. fijate como se toca en un virginal, con el toque inegal y con un temperamento mesotonico.

This is not nearly as good as the one he recorded at age 8 that has vanished from KZbin. This one is pedestrian, soft and mushy. One deos not hear any drive or fun or enjoyment. And it is metronomic and mechanical to a fault. Sorry Kit, you lost it!

Preferring a childish interpretation over an academic one is more of a you-problem than it is a Kit-problem.
