LOL, the grass is always greener on the other side! Frankly, when I was young, I would have thought so too. I didn't want to live in a city but I wanted close access to one. Now that I'm retired, I enjoy a slower pace as long as I can travel too. ~ Trisha

@wanderwonders122110 күн бұрын
Depends on how close. One of our favorite boondocking spots is about an hour south of the city and 30 minutes north of Tucson. Go to the Arizona playlist and you'll see Boondocking Tucson plus several others. We have desert camped in many locations that are so beautiful. ~ Trisha

Why does everyone think they need to "build a fire" at campgrounds? Especially people with RV's. Do you need it to keep warm? Are you goig to Cook on it? Or do you just LIKE POLLUTIMG THE AIR?
@wanderwonders122125 күн бұрын
Frankly, we really don't build fires often because we have solar powered induction cooktops/microwave etc. Even a propane cooktop is faster than a fire. Even though fires are the least efficient they make people feel like they're really camping. They do provide lovely ambiance to sit around chatting in the evening. ~ Trisha

Thanks so much for sharing. Your pics are so beautiful! So which campsites would you recommend? A or B? We have a larger rv but really want pretty views. Also, where do you fill fresh water tanks and dump?
@wanderwonders1221Ай бұрын
"A" is more wide open for large vehicles and pretty level. You can get water at Maverick's gas station in Moab. We don't have a black tank so I'm not sure about that, but I assume you can pay in Moab at a campground. Thanks so much for watching. There are also several other videos on the area. Have fun! ~ Trisha

Did you do the whole steel Bender trail or did you turn around? We are staying here in September, and we are new to off-roading... did you air down?
@wanderwonders1221Ай бұрын
We did not do the Steel Bender. I don't think that the Jeep would have been up to it. Next time, I think we would opt for a side by side tour. That looked like a lot of fun and there is help for the more technical parts. Gorgeous area! Slickrock above Moab has trails for every level of driver and equipment. Long Canyon Trail is fun for beginners. It leads up to Canyonlands. My son and I did the Gemini Bridges Trail and it is spectacular and a little challenging in areas but our old Jeep did fine. I don't know how much time you have, but we usually boondock north of Arches NP in Thompson Springs. I have videos on that and how to 4x4 and hike to Delicate Arch the back way. That's in the Utah Playlist. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have more questions, Trisha
