Hey Adrienne, if you find the time, would you be willing to show off the sump/plumbing of your 8foot and adjacent racking? I’m in the process of designing one and you’re a voice I trust on the matter

No wonder mental health in UK is so poor your fish room is amazing can see all the work you put in to it. Ive a 5ft community tank plan on getting another after Xmas. Look forward to watching some of your other videos now

Thanks, mate, for a great tutorial. I do love those little Scheffleras. They obviously make a very cool bonsai. They look absolutely fantastic full size out in the landscape too. The whole tank design really looks great. How about naming him Sun Tzu and he's proofing his book "The Art of War?" A fantastic read. Cheers my friend. ~Ron

Winter here in New York. My heater died and I didn’t notice in time. Lost my beautiful marbled breeding pair of angels and about a dozen rummy nose tetras and all of my khuli loaches. Only survivor was a rescue killy I saved from a neighbors dying tank

ANTS?? Hey. As for the aphids. The only way I could get rid of them was to get rid of the ants. The ants often farm them for the larva. Usually ants are living under them controlling the whole thing.
@BruceAndrews-h8dКүн бұрын
Hello. Aphids tend to attack unhealthy or compromised plants. The new thing seems to be the aphids and the dead tree. Hmmmm

Do u use fertilizer for your plants planted in the sand substrate
@AdriansFishroom15 сағат бұрын
No 99% of the time nothing but the fish waste. If I ever err and decide to it’s just some slow release pond fertilizer tabs at about 1/3 the dose.

Lightning Storms always remind me of the dog i used to have. One day he was sitting outside in his kennel, when lightning struck on the neighbours patio.(a few meters form his kennel) Ever since that day i would always Know hours in advance when a lightning Storm was coming,just by how that dig would start to behave. Even when there were no signs of it he always knew it was coming.crazy!!😯

Hello Adrian. Those are beautiful tanks. Everything looks so happy. Well done. I fell in love with the long leaf plant in the lower tank at 6:35. Could you tell me what that is please? I'd like to get one here on the west coast of Canada. Thanks
@BruceAndrews-h8d2 күн бұрын
The spikey leaf plant. Not the broad leaf. Thanks
@AdriansFishroom2 күн бұрын
I think the spikey one is thin leaf Java fern, there is also Bolbitis and the broad one is and Amazon sword I think. 🙏

Great looking tank i'm sure Mr Bojangles will be happy. I like the idea of barbs as tankmates so how about golden barbs. I have kept them in community tanks many times and once with a black ghost knife and have never had an aggression issue with them unlike the tigers who are fin nippers.

Im amazed you can grow bonzi trees out of an aquarium. Id love to try. Are they hardy plants i have a green thumb when it comes to land plants but for some reason i cant grow aquarium plants. 😢. Id love to have all plants in my aquariums...also planning on a fish room when i get my own place. You have wonderful advice and wisdom. The angel babies are so cute. I have a mr Future fish room who also calls me out on my antics I believe its animal lovers spouses who have to keep us in check instead of going crazy lol. Much love from Nashville TN USA! Plus i agree with the lady from earlier Maybe a super thanks or pateron. Would help you out with the fish room and videos. Love Australia and the great fish keepers there Duthie aquatics, keeping fish simple and Paul's aquarium. Hands down the best fish keepers and you tube creators i know 🎉❤❤

This is the problem with this new craze of "dirted deep substrate tanks", long term this is what you get, typically within a year, sometimes two. Rule of thumb when you can't detect it, everything seems as usual, and fish start dying off like this, it's free-floating bacteria(FFB) in your water column. FFB replicates quickly, many varieties can reproduce every few minutes, overwhelming your water column, even shortly after a water change without issue. Beneficial bacterium's (BB) typically take 3 days to reproduce, so the FFB outcompetes the BB, and starves it out of existence. Now your cycle is depending on out of control FFB/bacteria blooms, and that means instability, and resulting fish death. My suggestion is get a 13 watt or higher UV and start running it/them 24/7 in the affected tanks, not 4 hrs a day, that won't help you here. You can medicate and water change till the sun goes down, it won't solve this problem for you. Your deep substrate will not allow it.... You need to strip it out of your column and allow the BB to retake the resource load to regain stability. I am not here to insult anyone, I am offering you a solution to this problem, and telling you why it's occured. Best of luck, I just subbed. You can get pond grade UV sterilizer units for a low as 20$ now days. It's not the 500 to 1000$ problem it used to me to acquire.

Maybe you will realise now from the comments just how much your work in sharing these videos is appreciated. I've been here from your first video and have seen you learn and grow ; but, I don't usually post. I'm speaking up now because it's clear that you need to see you have at least 9,000 people who are interested in and thankful for your efforts. I think you will find that you are in a great position to allow the people who are sharing your journey with you to have a way to show their appreciation beyond just a "like and subscribe". I'm sure I'm not the only one who would gladly support your work by "joining" or by Patreon. We love and are grateful for your knowledge, experience, humour, humility, and reverence for all of Nature. You have what it takes! Go for it!!! Thanks for sharing with us 🙏🌿🐟🙂
