Hi I'm part of a boys highschool A capella group I was wondering if there was a place to access these arrangements?
@FreshAirRules Жыл бұрын
Nothing like A Cappella! This was great. So simple and pure. It's also a very nice contrast when most of the singers stop isolating just a couple of them. Very effective. This should be done much more in A Cappella. It does not sound threadbare as long the ones left can carry it convincingly. Which is done here. What I'm curious about though is I thought there was latency issues when doing this online. How did you avoid this problem? Or is it even a problem with fast internet uploading speeds?

This is gonna be your 100TH COMMENT! When I first listened to this on the day this was posted to your channel, I knew this was gonna be something even more special since a previous "Mirrors" Acapella video I watched a year ago at the time by Jake Broido. Here's the reason why: The moment you started belting out the opening melodies, my heart was immediately beating with pride, especially when it sounded like you were saying "Shalom (Hebrew for 'hello')" for the first twenty seconds. And when the stage lights came on, Bernie, who was standing front and center, looked so swag and styled with his khaki pants, green and white checkered flannel and dress hat. He even stayed calm showing true calm emotion in his eyes and carefully passing the mic from one hand to the other. Derek, who standing left behind to Bernie and wearing the yellow hoodie, was showing some true emotion in his eyes. Next when the entire group started shifting and started to form the set up of bowling pins, something groovy and soothing sort of took over me while I was still watching. At 1:10, when the chorus began, Bernie squinted his eyes closed and opened them in concentration and started to sort of lead the swaying motion and sort of conducting it with his right hand while his back was turned toward the group. In the next shot of the rest of the group, I easily saw Ben as quite the highlight of this shot just because of how styled his hair was with quite the defiant tuft in front and military short in the back while wearing a black short sleeve v-neck under fancy grey dress shirt and growing quite the facial hair outline along his jaw and a bold rebellious mustache and accessorized his style with a wristwatch. James was a little bit distracting because he quickly tucked his shirt a short way into his jeans, but I surprisingly realized it helped pick up the pace to his bass vocals while his hair was a little bit funky-like. And finally in this scene Derek was still showing some true passionate emotion in his eyes when it came to "heart". In the next scene, the entire group step touched and did one finger snap, which made it even more dancable as well as turning around one time in unison. When Bernie got to "once I figure it out", the lyric 'out' was a bit off key, but he quickly got back to the right tone he was supposed to be on. I then described the quick dipping to the left as something outrageous, but rare too because it's not common during any song sung acapella style. Then, when five members shifted off to the right of the stage, I could tell that they decided to leave three of their lead-ish members front and center, showing remarkable gestures to express more emotion during the second pre-chorus, which they successfully did. Again, the step touch came in during the second chorus as well as Bernie sining another off keynote during the lyric 'out' after turning around a second time. When Dennis finished his turn around, I noticed he had a quick spring or dip in his step. During the second quick dip, Bernie went a bit more slower so as not to wobble his voice or pant his breath, but goes more stronger during the step touch after taking some quick deep breaths and goes back to swaying gently and hand patting his heart, showing or gesturing it as a "true mirror" to the audience. Throughout the bridge, I compared it to soldiers marching when Ben and Mike walked toward to join on the left side before the other four on right walk in a straight line toward their opposers, passionate face to passionate face before turning to face the audience and break up to form a letter V and the entire raise their fists (two of them with palms faced outward), which I find similar to BLM. It even gets more charming and melodic when the spotlight drop down to form a lattice-like pattern on the floor before the rest of the group open their palms and sway-wave in gentle and concentrated unison. Whoever was beatboxing made it funky, but also made it echo throughout the theater they were performing in. At 4:08, there's another off key note from Bernie while taking a quick breath break, but at 4:16, there's the correct on-key note I'm looking for the for the lyric 'out' and at 4:24, everyone sort does their own choreographed move, which was decided during rehearsals, I guess, while dancing to form a straight line. Even Bernie randomly points very calmly to 'those people who the group admired' as mentioned at the beginning and rests his hand on his heart again for five seconds before at 4:35, beginning from the lyric 'And now it's clear as this promise', it 75% sounded like the original version of the song. At 4:48, four of each members start to walk diagonally, formed two rows of four and turned to the crowd, admiring them with a glamorous stare. (Of course, I saw that Ben was almost smiling). And finally, the group walk back to assemble that kind of "woven, over-and-under" and went nice and mellow on the final hymn like melodies before the audience went wild. I know this comment might be too long for you, but I spent almost fifteen minutes typing out the kind of choreographed characteristics (body, action, space, time and energy) that I carefully pointed out, but ever since this cover song video took me by storm, it truly tells to not back down on how much I have accomplished throughout the past years of my life. Keep on telling a true story from your heart, Those Guys. And keep on making music with those who depend on you the best.
