If a higher temperature setting is desired, this setting can be changed in the app. In the 'Settings' section of the app, this can be changed in the 'Maximum Temperature' section. After a year that Orange rod became disconnected from the faucet and the faucet wiggled like a loose tooth. Not sue what the fix is, tried to screw back in but it won’t take. Probably just have to buy a new faucet with better quality.

Hello Bigrignohio. As you noticed in the video, the shower wall in this example was a shower surround. Installing this product through a tiled wall does change the tools required and can result in tiles needing to be replaced.

I called the help desk on Saturday and spoke with Ashley, who was very helpful! We figured out when I was taking a picture of the bar code I must have used my photo app. Before speaking with her when I was.on hold, I did used the bar code scanner app and that took me directly to the wifi set up to connect my app to the Flo. She also gave me tips for using the app about how to see live usage and how to put the app to sleep during times where there could be abnormal usage, like when you have out of town guests. She said you can find that information on their website. Customer service was outstanding. Maybe a question on water usage could address having a boiler where it may need to draw some water so if you were to put the app on away mode, the boiler could still call for water so the house could stay warm when you are away for an extended period of time.

Step 1: 1. leave plugged in. 2. hold reset for about 30 seconds until the status light flashes rapidly. then let go. 3. wait until the valve light goes green and the status light goes solid blue/white. 4. Unplug the unit for 2-3 minutes 5. Plug the unit and wait for 2 minutes for the device to go back online. If that does not work you can proceed with the steps below. Step 2: 1. Have the Wi-Fi router Password near you 2. Go to the Flo Device app and log into the account (If you are logged out) 3. Click on the Home Screen and under My devices click on your name Flo device 4. Click Device Settings on the top right corner, then Network Setting Change 5. Thankfully I had access to a machine shop on site so I was able to make a custom extractor tool. If you don't, buy the extractor tool when you buy the replacement cartridge. You'll wreck your pipes otherwise

Hello. The FLO Device will be positioned with the arrow pointing in the direction of the flow of water into the dwelling. The shut-off can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position.

Due to calcium buildup in the pipe, I was able to remove the cartridge only by reattaching the handle tightly with the set screw (after removing the cartridge nut) and pulling moderately hard. I was also only able to install the new cartridge the same way. Aligning everything and then pushing down on the cartridge with the handle attached. Don't forget to reattach the cartridge nut!

Hello @rynegade. Putting the screw back into the stem of the cartridge does seem to give you more/better leverage to pull out the cartridge. We also recommend cleaning & flushing the valve body prior to installing the new cartridge. Hello @rynegade. Depending on how long the cartridges have been in service and if the water flowing through them is hard or high in mineral content, can make it difficult to remove the cartridges from the valve body.

1:52 critical moment!!! I installed this backwards and was able to fix asap. 1:55 I wouldn't install the cartridge like that. I would manuallt press the plastic flanges so it fits inside nicely and until in place. It won't be a smooth fit. Check other youtube videos.

The device should be placed after (downstream) of all treatment and filtration components to avoid debris interference. If it is necessary to install the device prior to a water filtration system, a wye strainer with a 100 mesh or finer screen and blow-down port is required to catch any sediment or particles from the ground source or casing. I had to use CLR calcium remover to get my cartride out, took about an hour of inching it out. The CLR dissolves the calcium then we had it out in about five minutes. Put the CLR on it first.

Tip: when reseating the retaining clip, hold on to it as if your life depends on it! My cartridge was a little more into the wall and the clip slipped from my fingers causing it to fall behind the wall. The hurt was unreal. I had to make an extra trip to the store and spend another $6 for that sucker.

Hello. The solenoid may be stuck in the open position. You will press the manual flush button 3 times. If it does not flush, replace the solenoid. Since the batteries have been replaced, please make sure the battery pack has been unplugged for at least 30 seconds to reset. Yes this is a bad valve design. Not only does it fall apart in the box and during assembly leaving you hopefully in its reassebly....it cannot be rotated 180 degrees to correct the cold/hot pipes being crossed. Moen has taken a simple design and made it difficult and limiting. As an installer I will steer my customers in a different direction rather than deal with this headache ever again.

I also faced the problem where my old cartridge didn't come out. I was worried about damaging everything and so just left it. Having said that, I only later realized that the new cartridge came with a small plastic nut that fit around the old cartridge. It said to use that nut to rotate the old cartridge by a quarter or half turn (I don't recall which) to break it loose. I wish I had read those instructions first, maybe I could have gotten it to work. Or just buy the cartridge puller from Moen. Edit: I've since replaced that cartridge. A plastic nut was absolutely useless, deforming within seconds. The cartridge puller is the way to go.
