Hmmm. In 2024, I lived in Panama for four months to test retiring there. Heck, no, it's not the paradise you may think it is. I decided not to retire there for now. I lived in Panama City. If you get a retirement visa, you are not allowed to work there. Employers cheat their employees out of benefits by only contracting them for three months. Also, Panama City is full of casinos and prostitutes. Very dirty city with no trash removal that's thorough. Low wages. Panama Canal is being run by China. Trump is right to take it back, and maybe Panamanians can get better paying jobs. I don't know what they are doing with the money from the canal. Panama looks like a third-world country in most places.

the editing is good it made the video even more enjoyable but the random flashes in the beginning whether its red or white was uncomfortable im relieved it was for a short time. it may be worst for people with condition a flash warning for people with epilepsy might be necessary. i dont think its worth sacrificing viewers for such a well made video so please leave it out. also you did well in words with mayan pronunciation, even tone was good !

Music too loud for the AI voice, which could pronounce better and be by that less boring. On my notebook music comes obviously louder in than voice as this is a repeating problem. I hopped thru and some parts were understandable, but the music returned and our motivation sank.

Thank you for this video. I am always looking for videos and info on Guatemala because my husband is from Guatemala but I don't understand Spanish and he does. So I'm so happy to see a video about Guatemala in English. I would love to go there but I'm scared about all the reports of kidnappings and robbery so even tho I'm disabled and get a government check that is not a lot at all but some people in Guatemala may think I'm rich because I'm white and an American. A big misconception is that Americans have money and that is completely untrue.

It looks like you stayed at Casa del Mundo on Lake Atitlan. You have a long video, I will eventually watch the whole thing. I have been going to Guatemala for 18 years. I live and work around many Guatemaltecos in the US. They are the ones who told me I would love it there. And I do. I have been to many of the places you describe in your video. I also enjoy going when tourists are gone. So mid-summer is hot in the US. The rain is great for me also. As I get closer to retirement I consider staying in Guatemala. The prices have gone up a lot since covid, but it is still very inexpensive.

Guatemala was once know as the Land Of Eternal Spring, but not anymore. Left the country this time last year after living there 2.5 years. It is now hot and businesses are having to install fans. Yes, it is a beautiful country, especially the Lake Atitlan area.
