The plantation is here again. This time the SF of today are partly responcible. They are inviting illegal immigrants to have a say in the running of out beautiful country. Shame on you SF, traitors.

This song relays our feelings the hundred years of occupation by the British and still a small part of our country. From the river to the sea. When your freedom and also us. Will be free. Ireland and Palestine un free will never be at peace.❤

One summer evening drunk to hell I stood there nearly lifeless An old man in the corner sang Where the water lilies grow And on the jukebox johnny sang About a thing called love And its how are you kid and whats your name And how would you bloody know? In blood and death neath a screaming sky I lay down on the ground And the arms and legs of other men Were scattered all around Some cursed, some prayed, some prayed then cursed Then prayed and bled some more And the only thing that I could see Was a pair of brown eyes that was looking at me But when we got back, labeled parts one to three There was no pair of brown eyes waiting for me And a rovin, a rovin, a rovin I'll go For a pair of brown eyes I looked at him he looked at me All I could do was hate him While Ray and Philomena sang Of my elusive dream I saw the streams, the rolling hills Where his brown eyes were waiting And I thought about a pair of brown eyes That waited once for me So drunk to hell I left the place Sometimes crawling sometimes walking A hungry sound came across the breeze So I gave the walls a talking And I heard the sounds of long ago From the old canal And the birds were whistling in the trees Where the wind was gently laughing And a rovin, a rovin, a rovin I'll go A rovin, a rovin, a rovin I'll go And a rovin, a rovin, a rovin I'll go For a pair of brown eyes For a pair of brown eyes

In 1803 we sailed out to sea Out from the sweet town of Derry For Australia bound if we didn't all drown The marks of our fetters we carried In the rusty iron chains we cried for our wean's Our good women we left in sorrow As the main sails unfurled, our curses we hurled At the English and thoughts of tomorrow At the mouth of the Foyle, bid farwell to the soil As down below decks we were lying O'Doherty screamed, woken out of a dream By a vision of bold Robert dying The sun burned cruel as we dished out the gruel Dan O'Connor was down with the fever Sixty rebels today bound for Botany Bay How many will reach their receiver? Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry I cursed them to hell, as our bow fought the swell Our ship danced like a moth in the firelight Wild horses rode high as the devil passed by Taking souls to Hades by twilight Five weeks out to sea, we were now forty-three We buried our comrades each morning In our own slime, we were lost in the time Endless night without dawning Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Van Diemen's land is a hell for a man To end out his whole life in slavery Where the climate is raw and the gun makes the law Neither wind nor rain care for bravery Twenty years have gone by, I've ended my bond My comrades' ghosts walk behind me A rebel I came, I'm still the same On the cold winter's night you will find me Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry Oh, oh, I wish I was back home in Derry

Christy Moore is an absolute legend, I wish he'd come to Canada so I can see him. Im tempted to jump on a plane to anywhere though.

So, is this a traditional melody? It's the same as The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Sands was just a common criminal. He broke into houses in Rathcoole and Newtownabbey areas before moving on to arson and setting fire to businesses. Suicide is terrible.
